Firstly my sympathies to the families of those who were murdered today in Omaha. I always wonder when these horrible incidents occur as to what will it take for us Americans to get serious about the gun control debate. After such atrocities we tend to blame everyone and every thing other than the number of guns that are in our country. Yes I know that many gun owners are very responsible people but that still does not change the fact that every year so many innocent people die here due to gun violence. So what will it take? There has to be a number that will upset even the most devout supporter of the NRA, again most of whom are probably decent, responsible, patriotic people. So what is it, 50, 80 high school kids, 100 people doing their holiday shopping at the mall, 60 kids going to classes at college. What will it take? I'd like to hear your opinions. It sadly took the deaths of 16 kids in Scotland for the UK government to impose strict gun control. We must also have a limit.

That the people that complained because Bush "blindly" accepted the Intel on Iraq are now complaining because he is not doing the same for the NIE report on Iran?

I know what law states, but after reading what happened in Krum, Texas, I would like to know what your reaction would be. Do you think it would be appropriate? Should the person pay for the loss of the dogs? What happens if the person gets death threats?

The Chinese are sending tainted and poisoned goods to the US. They recently refused to allow a US ship to dock in Hong Kongs harbor even though the waters were rough. The US government has done NOTHING to reprimand China for its actions. Is the fact that China is a strong trading partner with the US a reason for not taking any type of action?I'm not saying declaring war but I think the safety of the US citizens should be a higher priority than making overseas dollars off a country with horrible human rights violations. Why do we go after the smaller weak countries and let the bigger ones who pose a bigger threat scape on by??

I have gotten numerous responses to this whole BCS thing with Hawaii and I must say that most of them were ignorant only because they keep repeating the same thing....weak schedule. How weak was OSU's schedule if they barely beat Michigan who lost to APP STATE??? People are saying Hawaii escaped at La Tech bla bla bla. The solution is so simple but no one listens. 11 conferences...take the winner of each conference and have them play the 2-3 extra games needed in the playoff's I mean geeze there is only 51 days until the BCS title game so I think there is time to "squeeze" it in. Did the BCS computer figure out that South Florida would shut down WV or that LSU would lose to KU? OSU to Illinois? No because it was figured out on the field and no computer can EVER predict who the better team is. It all boils down to money ratings and sponsors. It is all about who they think people want to see play rather than who should play. I AM NOT A HAWAII FAN but a fan of fair-play and not politics.

We all know US does not need the approval of the UN to invade any country-the US has shown that it doesn't give a damn about what the UN says when it invaded Iraq. Regardless of whether you support the Iraq War or not, it remains a fact that the US attacked despite disapproval from France, Russia and China from the UN security council.

My question is: do you think Bush is planning to attack Iran before he leaves office? Do you think the similar rhetoric to the talk before the Iraq war is a sign that he is planning to invade Iran, or do you you think he is just using the rhetoric to increase international sanctions?

Do you think the US would be justified in attack? Why?

I know one was the gunman who killed himself, but if you have a source with the actual names of the other 8 that'd be really helpful.

Would anyone like to share why shootings in the US (in schools/malls/etc) is becoming more common? Why the suspect is almost always male regardless of race? Including someone who is practically young?

Does anyone think the media invokes so much fear that everyone is afraid of going to school or shopping around the mall?

What do you think its intent or purpose is to send to the general public?

We read with shock that 'The Foreign Office was alerted to fears over Gerry and Kate McCann by a British diplomat in Portugal just days after their daughter Madeleine went missing.

The diplomat was sent to the holiday resort of Praia da Luz in the days following the four-year-old's disappearance and soon became concerned over "inconsistencies" in the testimonies by her parents and their friends.

After visiting the McCanns, the unnamed diplomat sent a report to the Foreign Office in London, admitting his worries about "confused declarations" of the McCanns' movements on the night of May 3'

Is there more to the McCann saga than we have so far been lead to believe ?
