Why or why not?

2007-12-06 13:26:52 · 8 answers · asked by John 3 in Current Events

billions of extra dollars above the market services rate for his company, halliburton to perform remedial tasks in Iraq whilst at the same time denying financial aid to high risk home borrowers in the USA. Jesus Christ, there is a real possibility that either a woman, or a black man could become the next US president. A trained monkey would do a better job than what they have now.

Honestly. Aren't the brainiest minds supposedly working at NASA? Why can't they ever seem to get the bloody thing in working order? American's spend what trillions of dollars on this program [whether we want to or not] and it's always broken... It is unbelieveable to me. I say cancel this program that doesn't work and spend that money fixing the planet we live on before we go off to another one we can screw up royally. Really. If there was a suitable planet that sustained life found - do you really think you'd get to go? Maybe if you are a President of a country or a specialized Doctor or something like that. Very few average Joe's. If any at all. Thoughts?

I write and report for a teen magazine and I was going to do a man on the street. Not for Christmas, though. Anybody have some good ideas?
Man on the street is where you go and ask people passing by questions, they can be silly, or just opinion, usually.
Thanks!

1) New York City has 11 letters

2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.

3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.

4) George W Bush has 11 letters.

5) The two twin towers make an "11"

This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:

1) New York is the 11th state.

2) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number

11.

3) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11

4) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers.

6+5 = 11

5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11

6) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911.

9 + 1 + 1 = 11.

Scary, huh?

Too many of us are getting unfair violations----while this 19 year old says what he likes Anti- American, anti -Christian, Anti-British, reports our answers all the time if you don't agree with him & yet he's a top contributor.
If this is a democratic site we should be permitted to answer how we see things.
Some contributors have even had their accounts stopped.
Current events is surely able to have many opinions without all these violations!

I seriously want to know how long it would take, if wannabe teens began to make impressive history, and media finally got its deepest wish.

Thank you.

After the events of the last 2 nights, I think it's getting quite out of hand and it's not fair on the innocent users on current events.
I got my account suspended and lot's of people have got violation notices so whoever you are, be happy you got what you want and put an end to it .
Can we all just call a truce and leave it at that?

then killed himself, proves that's it's time to repeal the 2nd Ammendment which gives United States Citizens the right to keep and bear arms. The Constitution was written over 200 years ago, when there was a wild west mentality in the US, and people just could'nt call the cops if they wanted to. They had to protect themselves, etc. Nowadays, we don't really need to, we have the police, military, etc to do that for us. Too many people can get ahold of guns so easily in America and then you add depression into the mix, that's a deadly combination to have a depressed person with a gun. Columbine, VA Tech, now this and countless other incidents. When will America wake up and ban weapons altogether? You know what, probably never.

Everyone in my family is making a big deal over December 7th, which is tomorrow. But what is it about December 7th that causes everyone to act like this? Does it have anything to do with Pearl Harbor, 'cause that's what everyone says? If possible, try to list a website that confirms your answer. Thanks so much if you attempted to answer my question properly!

First off, I'm Baptist. Second, I'm not even voting for Romney. But what is the big deal about him being a mormon? Didn't Minnesota vote in a muslim?

If that is his religion of choice and he has no plans to force it upon others, leave him alone, right?
