To "escape" from biased thinking would be to erase all opinion.

This is impossible.

If you're referring to news reporting, the best in the business are people who are able to push their opinions into the background and try to report the facts of the story. Or at least report both sides of it and allow the consumer make his own decisions...

There is little or no escape from biased thinking. We all tend to form an opinion on a certain matter and then stick to it, thick or thin. No matter what others may say we, are always right and they are always wrong. Very few people will admit that they are wrong and lose face. My Mom used to say " There is no such thing as a problem because every problem has an answer, if it has no answer its then not a problem but a fact. Therefore there is no such thing as a problem" Last thought on this is if you win an argument you lose a friend. Its always better to respect the other persons point of view whether you agree with it or not.

Never. the Liberals are getting too liberal in their manner of governing and the conservatives are fed up with the constant non cooperation of the Democrats. . The Ultra Liberal now control the destiny of the party which is not the party of FDR or Truman but of Pelosi, Reid Kennedy and Biden who cant even tie their shoes let alone represent the bulk of the American people whom they swore to serve. Once elected you are the representatives for all Americans not the selected few of the party.

I Would Probably say not. This is because humans will always involve feelings in their actions and thoughts, and these feelings, causes them to look/ think in a biased way. Also it is human ( not necessarily human , but very American) nature to thing you are better than everyone, and this also caused biased thoughts, people will obviously bend towards their ideas rather than someone else's if they are confident in themselves, if not, they will find someone who IS confident is them self and stick to them, causing them to become attached to that persons thoughts, causing them to bend toward those, rather than anyone elses.

I hope that makes sense... Goodness

No I don't think so. The perspective in which something was told or taught to us and our initial convinced opinion sticks with us. We may partially mellow or harden our thinking on an issue, but the first foundation will always remain.

It is difficult to be truly objective and take new evidence on board. Many people can only accept evidence that supports their view and reject all evidence that does not as spurious. Pride also plays a part as you have to have humility to accept that you may be wrong.

Yes. Most bias is emotional and not logical. Once a person has facts and truth, it can help their bias.
