It would have the opposite affect on us Americans. We tend not to wait for the government because there are too many times that the police arrive just in time to draw circles around the victims.

Never going to happen. Guns are a part of America's culture, always was, always will be. Also, an important part of the capitalist system we all belong to.

Should random shootings become routine, which also is highly unlikely...then all I can see happening is less people venturing out of their abodes to malls and the like.

Of interest (I find) is that the new wealth effect I see in places like N.Y.C. where real estate values galloped away...people protect their homes with iron gates covering everything up...like little fortresses...even having spikes on top...and they barricade themselves in those plain and sometimes ugly looking homes.

This may be the trend as we produce more and more misfit kids.

No body will voluntarily surrender their guns as long as people are in fear of what can possibly happen to them in there every day lives! How horrible is it to be afraid to go shopping and not know if you'll be shot down by a depressed teen?? We may as well build walls around our homes and never come out again!
