We all know US does not need the approval of the UN to invade any country-the US has shown that it doesn't give a damn about what the UN says when it invaded Iraq. Regardless of whether you support the Iraq War or not, it remains a fact that the US attacked despite disapproval from France, Russia and China from the UN security council.

My question is: do you think Bush is planning to attack Iran before he leaves office? Do you think the similar rhetoric to the talk before the Iraq war is a sign that he is planning to invade Iran, or do you you think he is just using the rhetoric to increase international sanctions?

Do you think the US would be justified in attack? Why?

I think Bush is very capable of launching an attack on Iran, if for no other reason than to leave a mess for the Dems to clean up.

We all know that Bush doesn't believe in planning an exit strategy (ie. Afghanistan and Iraq). Heck, i don't think 'plan' is in his vocabulary.

At this point, i don't think the US would be justified. There has been no evidence of nuclear warfare being constructed in Iran. If US gov were to ever attack Iran, it would have to be enacted only on indisputible evidence.

No. Critics have been claiming Bush would invade another country since the day the US invaded Iraq. First it was Syria, then North Korea, and now Iran and it hasn't happened. The US has pursued diplomacy with Iran for over four years.
I read a very good article by a former CIA official that said Bush greenlighted the release of the NIE report which undermines the case for war because he recognizes that it is beyond US capabilities and Bush intends to focus his remaining efforts on stabilizing Iraq which a war with Iran would upset.

If Bush were going to attack Iran he would have done it already or at least quashed the report.

probably. whether the attack on Iran could be for political purposes, if something. which will make beneficial that persons will vote for McCain (Republicans are regularly perceived as more desirable on secure practices rigidity subject concerns than the Democrats). on the 2d, the U. S. financial gadget is the main important challenge that concerns persons, and Democrats are greater everyday whilst that's composed of economic subject concerns. yet yet yet another terrorist attack like 9/eleven or a conflict with Iran will somewhat sway the persons to vote Republican.

I am almost certain that G. W. Bush will attack Iran with less than a month to go in his term to hand off a disaster to the incoming Democratic administration.

Just like his daddy did when he attacked Somalia with less than 30 days to go in his term as president

It is basically a war crime to start a war or invasion without the permission from U.N.

Now the CIA report has made Bush's government lack of execuses to do so.

No war to Iran now.

It's not going to happen this time. The boy who cried wolf won't be believed when he was proven wrong about Iraq. No WMD, no linkage of Sadam with Al-Qaida.
