We read with shock that 'The Foreign Office was alerted to fears over Gerry and Kate McCann by a British diplomat in Portugal just days after their daughter Madeleine went missing.

The diplomat was sent to the holiday resort of Praia da Luz in the days following the four-year-old's disappearance and soon became concerned over "inconsistencies" in the testimonies by her parents and their friends.

After visiting the McCanns, the unnamed diplomat sent a report to the Foreign Office in London, admitting his worries about "confused declarations" of the McCanns' movements on the night of May 3'

Is there more to the McCann saga than we have so far been lead to believe ?

I'm amazed that this didn't come out earlier. There have been far too many inconsistencies in the reported witness statements of the McCanns and their friends, and the McCanns now seem more concerned about protecting themselves from accusations rather than actually looking for their missing daughter. My fear is that unless there is a breakthrough in the police investigation, the real villains will never be brought to justice.

I believe much more. I have never known a case to have so many twists and turns and am convinced of a major cover-up. The McCann's are always on about suing everyone who dares to challenge them but nothing has happened yet and I believe it is reverse psychology because they don't know what the Police have on them. The media are blamed for relentless so called 'untruth's, now that it suits the McCann's and their cronies and child neglecting supporters.

This whole case stinks of corruption and no intelligent person wouldn't doubt or question the many "inconsistencies". Why is this happening? and what are they hiding? Power, money, the route to all evil...

Yeah, I've been reading this too, if the diplomat is as seems, the now retired Mr Buck, i wish to god he would let it be known, I'm probably being too naive though, with that wish. The scale of hypocrisy and deceit surrounding this whole affair is huge, I'm still recovering from the shock of G's nomination for " Scot of the year " you couldn't make it up ! As far as conspiracy type theories go I'm normally fairly cautious,i just do not know, could be an extreme case of the middle classes taking care of their own, with a there but for the grace of god, attitude or could it be something more sinister ?........wish to add, the fund, it bothers me a lot,and has never from the very beginning gelled with me .

The government are embroiled in this more than we know .This case is a tangled web of intrigue which involves many people and we ,the public, don't know half about what's really going on and what really happened before ,during and after that night.Gerry seems to have contacts with people in many countries and many "high places". I pity the police having to sort through all these lies.

the individuals who criticize the McCann's are going to discover fault with each thing they say and do, no count number what you, or me, or the press, or the McCanns and their supporters say. once I examine a number of their close minded evaluations, I shudder because of the fact the Portugal police look of the comparable unlucky nature. the define of the guy is unrealistic, however the McCanns had no longer something to do with it. i'm relatively initiating to think of those people have been framed. I do exactly no longer know if i'm able to be sure the objective. there is been some theories published approximately it yet on the time, i did no longer pay interest to it. I hate conspiracy theories yet i think of this time the glove could purely fit.

Funny how you mention that story, but neglect to mention that the Portuguese Police lied about the amount of DNA samples they had, or that Murat's Alibi has once again been contradicted, by two separate witnesses not connected to the McCanns.
Guess like the gutter press you read you pick and choose what to sensationalise!

Give it a rest!
