should the Portugese ever have the gall to try and charge the McCann's and take them back to that country?

I don't care about the slaggers on this question, I just need to know who's up for it.

About a month ago I heard several newscasts talking about a recent global opinion survey which asked which countries were the greatest threat to global security. In this survey the US was ranked as one of the greatest sources of global insecurity. Does anyone know the source of this survey or how I can see more details?

This was sent to me as part of a Daily Devotion, I wanted to pass it along so that we as a Nation would never forget what happened on 9/11 and so that we as a Nation could pray for our Country.
Tragic Memories
Tuesday / September 11, 2007

There are certain moments in time that people vividly remember in connection with a certain date in history. My mother can recall exactly where and what she was doing when Pearl Harbor was attacked in World War II. I can recall where and what I was doing when John F. Kennedy was shot. My daughter recalls where and what she was doing the day the World Trade Center twin towers burned and crashed to the ground. For three days, homeschooling stopped and we, with millions of others, watched the awful events of those days. Her thoughts are forever recorded below in her poem written shortly after that tragic day:
September 11, 2001
By JoAnna Tatman

Out of the clear blue sky
I saw thousands die.
I saw people jump to their death.
I saw America hold its breath.

I saw the sadness of the world.
I saw the flag at half staff furled.
I saw the grief of a President.
I saw America lose its innocence.

I see the towers fall in my mind.
I think I've seen it a hundred times.
I saw America cry and pray.
I will never forget that horrible day.

I saw acts of the most evil kind.
I know we can never turn back time.
I'll remember those who fight to save
Freedom, in the land of the brave.
Even in our darkest moments in time, we can know God is with us. "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:35, 38-39) Praise God, even in tragic times when the world is falling down around us, we are conquerors through Him who loved us!

Why oh why are so many people obsessed with the Mccanns and why do you all insist on adding to their misery whether they are guilty or not. You are not helping their case, in any way, and, if there is a kidnapper, just think what they are feeling reading all of this tripe and clap trap.
What goes around comes around, and all of you people who have slagged off, insulted and accused could be in for a nasty suprise.
Can't the McCanns be left alone?

My heart is still so heavy for all that lost their lives that day.I can remember being on the 12th floor of a building in downtown Houston the day it happened. When I saw the first television news flashes and all I could think of was OMG will it happen to us before the day was out. Rest in peace to all that were lost that tragic day.

I was a junior in high school and our entire class was in the auditorium for a meeting about class rings. When we got back to classes all the TVs were on and we had no idea what was going on.

I also remember a year and a half later watching the "shock and awe" in class. My boyfriend (now husband) was deploying to Iraq any day, so that was pretty terrifying too.

It's just hard to believe it's been six years already...

Bin Laden tells every muslim to sacrifice life just to keep his revenge against USA, India, Israel and other like minded democratic nations. But the zillion dollar question is why not even a single person from his family have joined the caravan of martyrs? This reveals the real intention of Bin Laden. You Muslim stupids around the world wake up and join the main stream of life. This task can be taken up better by Muslim Women by shelving the "burqha" and rise to the need of the hour.

After 9/1, having gotten back at largely Saudi terrorists by invading their neighbor, Iraq, America stands proud today that they did this without sacrificing one ounce of their liberties.

Other countries might have spied on it's citizens, authorized torture and operated secret prisons as a means of obtaining information. Other countries would have lashed out just to lash out, without an actual plan or without support from the world, but they made sure we had a solid plan and global support from all of our Allies.

America now stands proud that we have captured Bin Laden, and improved the lives of the entire Arab world by engaging in a serious dialog, not by saber rattling. Terrorism is at an all time low, peace reigns in the middle east and tourism to those countries has reached an all-time high.

Why do they think that lines in newspapers and reports on TV are reason to post questions saying the McCann's are guilty? What has happened to common sense and presumption of innocence?

If Kate and Gerry McCann are devout Catholics, they will have gone to confession with the Priest before receiving Holy Communion. If they have made any damning admissions to him during the course of that confession, would the Priest have advised any followup counselling for them? I am not religious and have no firm idea of what happens when a killer confesses to their Priest - I know the Priest is bound by the seal of the confessional - thats all.
