Just wondered how the villagers reacted when the McCann family returned home?
Was it lots of good wishes or was it a split reception?
Has any villagers commented?

nobody really notices all the yellow ribbons and press camped there now. they have scaled it down loads, a few months back there were thousand of yellow ribbons all over the village centre, now there are few.

cant imagine the locals will be too fussed now, only close friends and family will be concerned and even then i bet part of them thinks that kate and gerry did it.

putting aside the 'forget' matters, etc (if we are able to) for purely one 2d, i think of they have carried out themselves no favours in such countless approaches. although and that i'm particular like maximum different persons i'm quite tired of this finished difficulty, i will make 2 final comments and then not extra. First, there are a number of people on very low earning and suffering to place food on the table who in all stable faith contributed to the fund to discover Maddie, no longer for the money for use to fund the legal battles or help the Mccann dad and mom in any way. Secondly, we've all lost sight now that this newborn remains lacking, there is quite little on the information to let us know what the Police are doing as we talk, any modern advancements, it purely seems to be going around and around in circles. I have little question that had this take place in the united kingdom, (for each and all the faults of the Police right here) the present consequence or a minimum of the quantity of evidence obtainable could have been quite a lot diverse.

Depends on who you believe. If I lived near them I would be cheesed off having press crawling all over the place day in day out - that is how the Portugese got fed up with them.

I said right from beginning they would regret engaging the press to the extent they had - they will never get away from them - unless they get convicted of course!

Dunno, have seen some brave people saying they support them, but if I was there I'd go into hibernation and just amuse myself with curtain-twitching

Apparently they have not had the home welcome as what they expected to have on their return home.
