this is to your first answerer TINKERBELL. lets just assume the mccanns are guilty and they are proven in a court of law to be guilty, then why laugh?
lets say this ends up being the case, would these people who have said from the start that the mccanns were involved then find it funny and would they feel a sense of satisfaction knowing they were right. i hope its more a sense of sadness that their worst fears were confirmed.
however i agree with you. the continued torrent of 'abuse' if you like, is unnecessary. this case has too many inconsistencies for any one to make a judgement based on facts, and based on those inconsistencies i believe the mccanns are victims.the attitude towards the mccanns shows you the stamp of people within our society today!

The McCanns are the ones who invited the public into their lives the day they left their children to fend for themselves in a foreign country. Wether they killed the child or not the fact remains that if they had protected her and looked after her the way a parent should she would not have gone missing. They were happy enough posing in OK mag and being jetted across the world, they have to learn that when you let the media into your lives you have to take the rough with the smooth.

I've always felt all along that they should be defended and that we should be more aware of the suffering they were going through with their poor judgement. I have to say, right at this moment in time, I feel silly...silly that I went all out to defend people when evidence points to something else.
The McCanns have put themselves in the spotlight - they have wanted people, obviously to be aware of their plight.
You have posted a question about them so are no different to everyone else. This is a forum to debate, therefore it is very appropriate news and current events be discussed. I agree though that they should have privacy.

This is the current events section, and the McCanns, if you hadn't noticed do seem to be a long running current event. You can't blame people for speculating, this case seems to have lots of twists and turns that are worthy of discussion and questions.

You amply demonstrate why this is important by again highlighting the McCanns!!!!
This is about Maddie or had you forgotten that in all the McCann ego tripping hype. It has been about them for so long that the name Madeleine has been all but forgotten.
YES this should be still a highlighted case because so many fools are looking at the McCanns as to innocence or guilt and forgetting it is about finding MADELEINE!!!!!

In a word "no" they can't be left alone.
And nobody here is effectively adding to their misery because they do not know them personally and really can not effect a change on their disposition.
What nasty surprise might it be? It's a bunch of hot air back and forth. And I don't think anyone is going to come down with a case of the plague for stating their opinion of the matter one way or the other.

can the mccanns be left alone?
no.
not until they are prosecuted for child neglect, just for starters.
why did the pair of them even have kids, if quiz night, wining & dining on hoilday was more important to them then staying with their children to insure their safety?
why should we let them off the hook?
have they ADMITTED that what they did was stupid?
no, just released more elaborate excuses for what they consider normal behaviour on a family holiday.
didn't want to use the baby-sitting service - rubbish, ok for activity clubs & creches!
same as leaving children sleeping, while they ate at the bottom of the garden - also rubbish, i wouldn't leave my front door open, kids asleep in bed & eat down the bottom of the garden!
there's more but the whole mccann saga is hacking me off!
when they admit their arrogance, MAYBE then we could consider backing off!

Are you sane?
How can you defend 2 irresponsible people that left 3 children under 5 alone in a room, in a foreign country for @ 50minutes?
If...IF..... they didn't kill Madeleine with an overdose of sleeping pills they are for sure guilty for her disappearance because instead of caring after their kids they went out and about......not considering what might happen while they were having fun.
If you were a parent you would think like me and understand why people are upset with them.
Ex of scenarios a proper parent would think of :
a fire might start while they are out, gas leek(like in Greece), one of the children goes out of the room, they wake up and play in a shower or bath and get drowned...and so many things a child can do to harm himself.....
Are you telling me the McCanns are suitable to be parents??

You obviously have nothing better to do either, other than start ranting coz you don't like the questions on here - well heres a word of advice - don't post on here and don't answer the questions.
Better yet, try avoiding this section all together if its that offensive to you. (but you're probably just looking for an argument aren't you....)

I haven't insulted them / been nasty about them - I do not have enough evidence for that. But I do believe they neglected their children when they went to that restaurant and left them.
Anyway, in referring to 'have you people nothing better to do'?
1. No I am at work
2. This is a NEWS CURRENT EVENTS part of YA - the McCanns are NEWS and CURRENT EVENTS - therefore I think it is quite right that people are able to post about it here!
