i'm american (living in london) who was there in new york...on the 'tube' not knowing why everything was delayed...but as people have previously mentioned, so much more goes on in the world on a daily basis, that i cannot focus on '911'...too many innocent adults and children (which, personally, breaks my heart) are victims...while the idiots that start it in the first place are 'safe and sound' somewhere, under a rock (or oval office!)...when the planes hit the towers, i thought, 'someone must be REALLY ANGRY' to go that far...what the hell did america do?'...of course, we'll never know the truth behind all the rage...such is a small thing called 'MEDIA'...
but practically every country (except switzerland!..ha) has had their '911'...and, unfortunately will continue to do so...i just hope i'm not a part of it...

Personally, I think the whole event was overshadowed by the Katrina disaster, and the US government's lack of response.
Far more lives were lost, and the government didn't seem to care.
Kill 2000 rich New York businessmen, and they start two wars.
Kill I - don't - know - how -many - thousands of poor black people, and they just don't care or act.
I would prefer the 28th of August to be commemorated instead of the 11 of September, at least we know why and how the innocents died on that day.

My boss has a meeting tomorrow and he was going to travel into London by train today. He realised it was 9/11 and then decided he wouldn't do this.
I think that was ridiculous but I couldn't tell him that! It obviously still affects him!

I suppose the families who lost loved ones still are.
America turned any sympathy the world had for it around on its head, when they used the war on terror as an excuse to invade Iraq (oil). And those stupid republicans 'You're either with us or against us', drawing up their inflammaory list of 'terror states'.
Blair's government dragged us into that quagmire too. Nice doggy..

Actually i have gotten over it. Although I feel bad for those that were involved. It would be hard to get over if you had someone hurt or killed in the attacks. I focus on the better things that are today! Its my Boys B-day!

It depends how cold hearted you are, some English footballers were having a drunken party in a London pub on 9/11 whilst nearby Americans were watching the devastating news unfold.
VERY GOOD POINT HAPPY MURCIA.
