Yes I was laying in bed in a side ward of a hospital and as I was coming round after an operation the tv being on and laying there I could see a plane crashing into the Twin Towers and mumbling to my hubby who was there with me....I don't ever remember seeing a film with such realistic footage....It's not a film dear it's for real that is live coverage from Amercia. I Never will forget.... the same as I have never forgotten where I was when JFK,MM and Diana all died.

Yes I had travelled to my local doctors surgery to pick up some Morphine for my sick dad, when I got back both planes had already hit the buildings, because of the strange camera angle it appeared that there was only one tower because I ain't an expert on New York, when we found out that there were 2 identical skyscrapers and they had both been hit by 2 planes the enormity of the situation started to sink in, then of course there was the Pentagon. I said to my Dad "This is gonna change the world"

Yep, I was driving and I switched on the radio. I thought it was strange what I was hearing, and I put it down to being a play on the style of The War of the Worlds by HG Wells. As I arrived home and switch on the tv I had the shock of my life, I realised then that what I'd been listening was for real. After all these years I still think about it with incredibility.

Yes, I was early shift at the local co-op warehouse. I finished at two pm. and headed through to my mates house. When I got there, the first tower had just fallen, shortly after, the second one came down. It was one of the most shocking and memorable experiences of my life. (I live in Scotland). I have always wondered how big an impact it had on the people of America. You seem like a very close knit community- something that I feel we are lacking over here!!

yeahh, i was at school. i was in first grade back then. so sadd, i was watching it on the news with my parents. i saw a guy on basically the top floor jump off. it's really sad, even sadder as a first grader to be watching it, since i was so young and innocent and i never really saw a tragedy or death before.
i was watching a documentary about it and a firefighter said it was heartbreaking when you heard a loud thud on the ground, because that meant that another person just jumped off.
i dont understand why there's school today. i think they should have no school, out of respect for families who lost their loved ones. i mean, we have pointless breaks from school anyways. hmm, anyways, yeahh.
i guess i'm kind of gladd nothing like that happens around where i live=/

i woke up to hear the news on a local radio station. i thought it was a joke until i turned on the news. at first i thought that it didn't look real because in the movies there are always big explosion. im sorry to say that i think that now.
i had a test that day in my math class. i decided not to go in and went and picked my brother up from downtown chicago. it was really weird because it felt like a ghost town. the streets were clear, no noise from planes, and hardly any people in site. this is chicago, there is always noise, people, and honking horns. that i think was the scariest part of it all - what seemed normal wasn't there.
i remember i got in major trouble for not showing up to the test. to this day, i still think the teacher was a complete moron.
today, in national rememberance of those who died (on 9/11 and those who have killed at war), remember to put your headlights on while driving. this morning i heard the announcer ask americans to do this, i will.

For those who think this is a silly question, keep in mind that this is a way for us to all take a minute and reflect on how the events of that day have completely reshaped our lives!! I was at work, listening to the radio when I heard about the first hit, then I watched the rest of it online. I was working in a major petroleum manufacturing plant at the time, and everyone was afraid that we could become targets at any time.

I was off work watching tv when it happened, saw enough to jump in my car and go get my kids and come home, called my loved ones. Stayed glued to the tv while I taped it. I felt exactly afterwards like Alan Jacksons song "When the World Stopped Turning". God Bless all those surviving families today and always.

I was sitting in my senior pohtography class when a freshman ran in saying that we were attacked. and then the principal came over the loudspeaker telling the teachers that the board of education is demanding that the tvs stay off and not to say anything. It was pure wysteria in the school that day. Finally in 5th period orchestra my teacher told up what had happened.
