Once and a while I will see a reporter go up to somebody, and ask them a question. The person in question gets mad and gets in the reporters face, and the reporter will usually calmly state "Your not going to intimidate me" and usually wont flinch when somebody gets in the reporters face. I don't watch the news very much, so maybe this is nothing, but I was just curious

...blind and/or stupid enough to believe that a few sick terrorist scumbags act on behalf of all Muslims? Did you think the IRA bombings were on behalf of Catholics everywhere, as well?

Obviously money is a motivating factor but what political motivations are there? Do the kidnappers feel the oil is being stolen from Africa or something?

Ya I feel bad for the Iraqi people and U.S. Soldiers, the place is a living hell. Itès so wrong but I got my own life and problems to deal with. Itès not like I can do anything about it anyway right. Do the American people have any responsibility and accountability for the actions of their Government.

God Bless the Iraqi people and U.S. Soldiers

A recent poll of a number of nations says that the people of Canada, Britain, Germany and France have more confidence in Vladimir Putin as a world leader than George Bush. VLADIMIR PUTIN! Has the whole world gone mad?

And before any of you blather on about torture and the War in Iraq, I have one word for you: Chechnya.

Since that awful day on September 11, 2001, there has been no organized, succesful terrorist attack on American soil.
Why not?

Could it be:

1-The Bush administration has done a good job protecting us?
2-Terrorists are being drawn more to Iraq , instead of America?
3-The terrorists are planning something even bigger and are just being patient?
4-The terrorism threat is not as bad as we thought?
5-We've just been lucky?
6-Some combination of the above?
I have my own ideas, but I want to know what you think. Why has there been no organized, succesful terrorist attack on American soil since 9-11?

Quote from UK Timesonline:

"President Sarkozy has fallen foul of intellectuals and critics who see his passion for jogging as un-French, right-wing and even a ploy to brainwash his citizens...."

Is this really a secret "right wing" conspiracy or are the French blazing a new episode in the history of stupidity?

Obviously, the UN sanctions are effective, despite the Iranian president's claims on the contrary. A third round could prove devastating. Since China wanted to help resolve global issues, why wouldn't it support more sanctions? Iran is a country that has broken promises and defied the Security Council in the past, and the international community has no other choice but to impose sanctions. It is myopic to try and stabilize Afghanistan and Iraq while going to war with Iran. If the world negotiates a partial uranium freeze, a nation like Iran will find ways to take advantage of that situation in the future. Why won't they just comply with a full freeze and prove that the nuclear program is peaceful?

It just doesnèt seem to be getting any better, just worse. When is it time to admit defeat. Why canèt George W. Bush get out of his idealistic cloud and join the real world. Is he that stubborn that he canèt even accept that Iraq is a disaster and maybe it will never be what he wants it to be. That he lost. Realistically, itès lost. They will never accept what Bush wants for them, even if he has good intentions. They hate George W. Bush, and they will fight the occupation just because itès George Bush, just in spite of him. Does he not see that.

Did anyone read the story in The Sun newspaper or other paper.Of the little Girl Casey aged 2 who was raped and strangled by her own uncle. while her parents where down stairs arguing. He strangled her with a mobile phone wire. He got Life and a minimum of 35 years. I am near crying now as I write this. How can anybody be soooo sick and cruel. Do you think his sentence was enough? I think crimes like this deserve the death penalty. Anyone agree?

Though this may seem irrelevant at first, I believe it is important to ask why we haven't seen any American or European terrorists attacking holy sites and innocent people in the Middle East. Why has this not happened?

It's the single most strategic resource on the planet. It literally and figuratively drives our economy. Do you realize that everything from car fuel, to plastic bike helmets, to crop fertilizers are made from petroleum?

I honestly cannot think of a better reason to go to war.

Why do people say the US isn't fighting against terrorism, they're fighting for oil. Is that really a bad thing?

I get why the computer would think it would be 1900, but I don't get why elevators, and traffic lights and computer programmed things would stop working. I mean like will the computer thing "Oh, it's 1900, there were no elevators in that time, so I'm gonna stop working." It's so confusing!

Live Earth is this weekend. Thousands of people traveling to concert venues, how much carbon based power (CPB) will be used for that? How much CPB will be used for these concerts. What about the waste they generate. None of this seems Green.

And the Artist. They live lives of conspicous consumption. Is this Green. They advocate the bling, but what about the effect extracting these jewels has on the environment, is this Green?

MTV will air the concert, but it also advocates conspicous consumption. I dont recall anyone on MTV Cribs talking about thier Green lifestyle.

The most recent global concert was at the G8 summit to bring awareness to the crisis in Africa. It raised no money for the cause, just raised awareness. Wouldnt $ have been more useful?

Maybe this will raise awareness, but do you think its hypocritical?

Also, i want comments on the concerts, not if thiere is a climate crisis or not...Thats off topic.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU REPLY!
1) The Beatles didn't end when John died any more than they did when Brian died. The Beatles are a corporation and right now Yoko and Olivia are part-owners.

2) A band 'breaking-up" just means they are not making music...they're still in the band unless there's a legal separation (which certainly does happen).

3) When you say someone is an "ex" it means there are still people are who ARE that job...an ex-president means not the current president .... so if Paul is an ex-Beatle who are the present ones?

I don't believe in all that rubbish. To me the biggest killer in this world, the biggest cause of war is caused by religion...its all a fairytale........

However, I do respect people that believe in it, i sometimes envy their belief that there is life after death, would love to meet my dad and other family members again, but in my logical mind its just a fairytale.

What makes you believe in it............
