If Liberals really cared about the "innocent" people dyeing in Iraq why dont they get in a airplane and try to save them?

Does anyone think they are being hypocritical and perhaps just talking for the sake of complaining?

Is all talk and no action pathetic?

Whatever your view of the terrorist organisation Al Quaeda it must be said that they have a particular talent in finding and exploiting weaknesses within the UK in order to further their terrorist ambitions.

The latest example of this is the way they were able to get 'sleepers' into the country by exploiting the National Health Service's reliance on foreign trained doctors.

Can you think of any other weaknesses within the UK's social, economic or political systems which Al Qaeda can exploit in the future to further their aims?

Why does most of people think that she did the right thing?Paris is a bad image of the society, even if she were a murderer, so what? It's Mika's job to read the news that are given to her. I turn to the news channel to hear news, not her opinion. Why does most of people think that she did the heroic thing? She obviously decided what people should listen or what not. You don't go to a restaurant and let a server decides what you eat and what you don't eat, do you?

Does anyone have the calculation of how many thousands of gallons of gas (auto/jets/limos) as well as how much coal had to be burned to create the electricity used at the show? Don't forget the additional energy burned cooking food in all the hotels/restaurants/venues that the performers and fans went to. Any ideas or websites with the numbers?

"The Senate is due to debate in February the proposed introduction of tougher border controls, including building more fences along a third of the border with Mexico.
The House of Representatives has already passed the bill, which has been condemned by Mexico. "

So Mexico thinks it's okay for it's citizens to enter our country illegally? Wouldn't that be government supported entry into a neighboring nation without permission? Isn't that what invasion is?

Over ten years ago I was studying religions and reading a book on Christian beliefs that said when the antichrist comes he'll rule the world on an ecological agenda in his name and be hailed as a hero that everyone will turn to to follow. At the time it seemed unfeasable, but I see bizarre echoes in the Live Earth concerts with one announcer stating that Gore's the inspiration for the concerts and the reason we're all watching (I thought Earth was the reason!). Plus what is with the number 7? Is it because a concert on 6th June 06 would be too obvious? The date is 7.7.07 and everyone keeps mentioning 7 - i.e. the B.E.P. emphasised that they got an email reply from Gore "7 days later at 7'o'clock" and that we should all cheer after the band counts 7. There are 7 Gore 'pledges' and the final one is to pledge to "BUY from companies that support the 7 pledges" - it's SO obvious there's a commercial agenda behind Live Earth. More about this below...

I have been collecting the Sports Section out of the Oregonian for a long time now. I have articles on Magics sudden retirement, MJ retirement, comeback, retirement, Tyson going to Prison, the list goes on and on from about 90 on up to 2001 or 2002. Just wonder if they would be worth anything down the line?

Muslims march against terrorism. Soctland united against terror.
Members of Scottish Muslim groups and mosques are to gather in Glasgow's George Square later today for a rally against terrorism.
"The eyes of the world will be on Scotland sending out message that all our communities are united against terrorism."
Do you believe that muslims in Britain are sincere enough to be believed by the non muslim population when these acts of terrorism have been perpatrated in their name. Do you think its too little too late?

I know that celebrities have a lot or career responsibilites but I think it is a disgrace to have a complete stranger raise your children for you. People like Catherine Zeta Jones have a nannie for each of their kids. And Madonna is so into her career and body that I can't imagine her spending much time with her kids. Also Posche Spice, whenever you see her, her children are never with her. I HATE this whole nannie craze. If you decide to have children you should raise them yourself, and not decide to keep working 24 hours a day, for money you dont need and to stay in the spotlight. These women aren't really mom's to me, so why do they get so much credit. And to the kids grow up to resent them, or love them?

With the weather around the world going crazier by the moment. Is engineering the weather going to be the answer or an up coming problem? In the future are institutions like the G8 or the UN going to have to deal out regulations as to how the weather can be manipulated? And how far fetched is weather terrorism?

I had to go to Hull on business on Thursday. I felt so sorry for you guys after my experience there. The water had gone but because of the raw sewage that had come up the place STANK! and the pavements were covered with a film of filth. Furniture was in front gardens some of it new but it could not be used because of contamination. A barman in The English Gentleman pub near the theatre told me that there was looting as well. In spite of all this the people I spoke to were really nice friendly cheerful guys. I know this is not really a question but i just had to say something and to state that it is not just the flooding that has affected people. I read that some poor man had to give up his dog he had for 8 years as his temporary accomodation would not take it. Good luck and love to all of you

After the spate of doctor related terrorist involvement in the UK, they have revised their screening process to look into the backgrounds of foreign doctors seeking to practice in the UK. We have many doctors in this country who are from Arab and Muslim countries. Are we doing enough to make sure that we are safe from terrorists? This may be a sad part of the world in which we now live ie. we have to worry about our doctors being safe.

... including a large truck bombing Saturday that ripped through an outdoor market and buried victims in rubble.

The U.S. military on Saturday also reported that six American service members were killed in fighting in Baghdad and western Anbar province over two days, reflecting the increased U.S. death toll that has come with the new offensives."

I also watched a report on the "hidden" victims - those who are injured in these attacks, many of whom are children who lose at least one limb. The prosthesis makers are working overtime.

Now Australia is also coming under the gaze of the terrorists because of our PM's devoted support for Bush.

How many more deaths and maimings? What will it take to make Mr Bush realise he is not John Wayne and this is one fight the guys in white hats are not going to win?

Anyone have any realistic ideas as to how this tragedy might actually end?
