With the weather around the world going crazier by the moment. Is engineering the weather going to be the answer or an up coming problem? In the future are institutions like the G8 or the UN going to have to deal out regulations as to how the weather can be manipulated? And how far fetched is weather terrorism?

As wrong as it sounds....it seems like just another frontier to be crossed.

Albeit, a highly disturbing one. I believe there are certain things that just shouldn't be allowed to be affected by man - weather should be one. Patterns in weather form over many, many years...interfering with them can throw them way out of sync.

Hopefully we will never see regulations on weather - as hopefully it will not be able to be engineered.

And really...if it can be altered...then terrorism, although maybe a long way away yet, would pose an element. In what way would need to be decided and it would depend - I tend to think weather engineering would be a political weapon before terrorist one (similar to nuclear weapons)....

do you see any way at all that China will make everything sweetness and light in less than a year? if they can, more power to them, but somehow I don't think so.
