When will they know it's over?

What are the key performance indicators for the war, given there isn't one identifiable country, there are no borders, there is no declaration of war, there are no uniforms, or occupied territories?

They mustn't be going very well at all if they are continually tightening security and introducing emergency terror laws at such a high rate.

Sheehan is gonna run against Pelosi? She is just a bitter, grief-stricken woman who needs to go get some counseling, get some closure about her son, and get on with life. You can dislike war all you want...nobody really wants war...but to do what she has done and is proposing to do is ridiculous. Her son knew what he was getting into. Anyone else agree?

Conflict or blood diamonds fuel conflict, civil wars and human rights abuses.
They have been responsible for funding recent conflicts in africa, resulting in the death and displacement of millions of people. During these conflicts, profits from the illegal trade in diamonds, worth billions of dollars, were used by warlords and rebels to buy arms. Diamonds have also been used by terrorist groups such as al-Qaeda to finance their activities and to launder money.
As the brutal conflict in Sierra Leone shows, even a small amount of conflict diamonds can wreak enormous havoc in a country. Even now, up to $23 million of conflict diamonds are entering the legitimate diamond trade annually from Cote d-Ivoire in West Africa.

After knowing this reality, would you still buy a diamond?

I have a BA in Literature (been out of college 3 yrs now) and have roughly one year of experience as a staff writer at a daily newspaper.
I love my job, but journalism doesn't pay the bills and I have seen some great opportunities in the newspaper lately.
I know that I have what it takes (I could write better press releases than the one's I have been seeing).
Any tips on how to get my foot in the door (not looking for marketing/advertising...thinking more like a small organization, govt, museum, etc).

Should we use military?
Should we use CIA methods?
Do you think it is right for the government to tap our phones?
Should we continue to let Mosques run that have been known to recruit terrorists?

What do you think would be the best way to defeat terrorism?

Firstly under which jurisdiction would the trial take place? Secondly, a decent defence lawyer would be told to cross examine them on the events of the night in question on oath. Ask for the company records of the company they have set up to be used as an exhibit in court. Thirdly the issue of leaving the children and whether they consider that neglect will be raised. Fourthly they would be asked whether it is their fault that Maddy is currently missing. Any other questions or issues I have missed. Any opinions on this subject?

I am a 21 year old college student, I live at an apartment I don't get the newspaper. I am busy with work and school, and when I come home at night I like to be updated on relevant national and international current events.

So I watch CNN, Fox, etc. and am shocked to get celebrity news! Nancy Grace devoted most of her show to Paris Hilton. Is there a program that actually discusses important events? How do you get your news??
