I will be going to Iraq for the 3rd time in October.....I AM SO ANTI-WAR. I have spent my 25th, my 28th, and next year, God willing, my 30th birthday in Iraq. My birthday is this Thursday, so I'm thankful to spend this one at home.

When I was a youngster, I was strongly against the Viet-Nam 'war'. I did not support our troops. That was the way my generation was, back then. I was a 'follower' then.
Now, I am older and a little wiser (I think). And while I cannot support the killing of another human-being for any reason, I cannot support those who do not support the cause.
I am 110% behind the brave men and women who have chosen to put their lives on the line to defend someone Else's right to have what we, in the USA, have. A freedom that they can only imagine.
Every human should have the opportunity to examine freedom, as we have.
So, while I am against the war, in general - I will support every person who offers their life for the cause of freedom.
Each of us deserves the right to examine freedom, even when it is limited (as it has become in the USA). It is still the best the world has to offer.
As to how things have been handled thus far ... very poorly!
But, we all have our own opinions, thanks to freedom!
Amen,

I am not pro the current war in Iraq.
But sometimes you have to go to war. So I think that its best to try avoi war wen you an but smoetimes you must go to war.
if u look back in history. You will see that appeasement ( giving into the agressor with the hope that they wont ask for more) doesnt work. Chamberlain ( british mp) did this with hitler. Hitler kept breaking the terms of the treaty of versailles ww1 treaty 2 punish germany) and he kept expanding germany. Chamberlain did nothing. In the end when he invaded poland he did something about it. By this stage germany was a strong nation again and it made ww2 much harder. Would of been bettter to stop germany ealier and they would of been crushed as they were weak at that time.
So in cases lyk this it is sometimes beetter 2 go 2 war
as for the war in iraq. its similiar 2 the vietnam war. America interferring with another country for no reason at all and just messing it up. Wasting money. and ultimatly there going 2 lose. The soldiers are there fr their paycheks wheras the iraqi ppl are fighting for their country and for the lifes of their family in future gnerations. America cannot win. they simply dnot have the desire.
wen there are millions of poor ppl in america and billions upon billions of dollars are bein wasted.. its time for a new govt.

I'm anti-war for a number of reasons:
1. War only begets more war;
2. Going to war for "peace" is like having sex for abstinence;
3. I believe there's a commandment that says simply, "Thou shalt not kill" - I don't think there's a disclaimer that exempts U.S. Presidents from that commandment;
4. You can't stop hatred, bias, or bigotry with war;
5. War is expensive, not only in the cost of lives - but in the cost to taxpayers. Example: George W. Bush's stupid, insane, illegal 'war' has put American taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt.
The U.S. government had no business attacking Iraq in the first place. This has been a sham since Day One. Our U.S. soldiers have been conned into believing they're fighting to bring democracy to Iraq or establish peace in the Middle East. In fact, they are there only to satisfy the Bush family's personal vendetta against Hussein; to gain control of all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands; and to provide the giant U.S. military-industrial complex with a way to boost sagging profits.
This war is - and always has been - about nothing more than OIL and WAR PROFITEERING. -RKO- 07/09/07

I am for peace through superior firepower...if necessary.
I am against war unless it is really needed. A lot of people are against the war in Iraq. Sure, it probably wasn't the best idea...but we can't just leave those people there to die...we have an obligation to give them a future that is without pain and suffering.
I think the current administration has made some bad decisions, but they aren't that bad compared to previous administrations. If you watch the news, you will see that the media is very much against the current administration. They broadcast his approval rating every night, yet fail to mention the approval rating of congress...which is lower than the presidents.
The citizens of America only see the bad parts of this war and never see the good coming out of it. They see blood and death on the TV but they never hear that the civilian death rate is down 36% and we have taken out key terrorist targets in Iraq.
War, in my book, should be the last option.

The present and many past heads of our government are idiots, and draft dodgers, including the present chief idiot.
The only jerks I know of that are in favor of war are @$$holes that have never been to war, and our parasitic politicians in Washington plus the manufacturers of over priced war equipment.
I still stand by my words, " if the politcians, including the president and his cronies, all had to serve on the front lines, there would be no wars, instead they would find other means to settle their differences" but as long as they are safe and have their bunkers to hide in, they will continue to kill our sons and daughters.

Who would be pro-war? Americans are certainly not pro-war.
Amrecians do firmly believe thier right to defend themselves and thier country and thier allies. Americans acting on this belief has guaranteed thier freedom and the freedom of it's allies for over 231 years.
One could say they are anti-violence. Then when a gunman starts shooting students on a college campus killing several students, would the police be pro-violence when they take the killer down with bullets of thier own?
Look at Rowanda. The UN could have put forces together and stopped all the killing. They chose instead to stand by and watch untold numbers of people to die at the hands of madmen.
To be anti-war or pro-war is dangerous to all.
To be anti-war means you take no issue at all with either side. You can't defend your friends, family or self when attacked. To do so would be to war against your enemy. The only option you have is to thrrow up your hands and give up when attacked.
To be pro-war means you see no other options to setteling an argument except for war. Like the school yard bully. Like Hitler, Napoleon, Sadam, Ahmadinejad, Stalin.... The list could go on an on.
The honorable thing to be is pro-defense. This is what America is, pro-defense.
As far as what I think about the current US Government? I don't really approve of congress at the moment. I deffinately know they are not governing in the best intrest of my family or my country.
The world news media would like for you to think America is the worlds enemy, that Bush is stupid, that America is a war monger. But, I see Millions of immigrants trying to get into this country from all nations around the world. I have never seen one, not one, ever trying to get out.
Even Barbra Striesand who stated "If Bush is reelected I'm moving out of the country" is still here in America. Rossie who despises everything about America and showers her coments with hate speach against America is where? Still here in America.

I am pro war, sitting around and talking to your enemy never solved any problems, human by nature like to eliminate each other.
If you are referring to what is happening now in Iraq, that is not a war at all.
What the government is doing is absurd, the enemy is not marching in colors which you can recognize, enemy is using all tactics of a robber and is worst than barbarian at least barbarians attacked openly and confronted the armies.
The only solution to this situation is a call for open war with Islam and let the Islamic countries decide what they want, if they want peace for the world then let them rid the world of these terrorists, if not start bombing the entire Muslim world and send the middle east stone age.

World peace sister!
How could someone be pro-war. Honestly they would have to then get joy from the murder of innocent people. Imagine if you were a poor peasant farmer in Iraq & some one killed your intire family for no good reason I think you would hate the U.S & the west also. Just think. Knowlage is power. Hug the world.

In the Marines we used to say"Nobody likes to fight, but somebody has to know how" After 9/11 the terrorists made a statement that they want to over throw all of western society. that if you don't follow and practice the radical Islamic theology, and are not willing to convert. you are a infidel, and must die. if you pay attention you can see these people don't care about anything or anyone. they will indiscriminately kill women & children. MAKE NO MISTAKE, WE ARE AT WAR!!! these people want to KILL us!So to answer you question.... YES I am for the war on terror, hunt the mutherfukrs down like the rabid dogs they are and KILL them, where ever we find them, without mercy, kill their families , dogs, cats, birds, "KILL THEM ALL, LET GOD SORT THEM OUT!!" they are here just like in England, just waiting for the right time and right place, to kill more westerners (infidels) getting out of Iraq or the middle east won't solve the problem. they want the whole world to live like the people in Afganistan did. i hope we get them before they get their hands on nucular, biological or chemical weapons and find a way to deliver them to US! p.s. if we had followed RKO'S ideology we would all be speaking German or Japanese today
