To believe that terrorists simply "hate humanity" is simply absurd. Their goals have been clearly stated and were clearly stated long before any attacks on the U.S.. What you might want to concern yourself with is that over 6-and-a-half thousand Americans have died, scores of thousands have been injured and over half a trillion dollars have been spent while the average American (as represented by you) has absolutely no idea why were attacked in the first place.
By the way, those stated goals have nothing to do with spreading Islam (a claim made only to appeal to their "base"), that we eat Mc Rib sandwiches, that we watch American Idol or all the other moronic propaganda we are being fed. These are claims made by those who most benefit from keeping the American public ignorant and perpetuating the conflict for purely political and economic reasons.

Over the years the British have done more of their share of indiscriminate killing throughout the world. This country is never happy unless it is at war,we hop out of Ireland then invade Iraq that is the prime cause of the Terrorists today. In 1966 we were involved in the slave trade in South Africa. It isnt a pretty record. But dont think that Brown will be joined at the hip to Bush as was Blair.America are our long standing friends and no one man will ever break that bond.

In Question Time (student / youth version) a similar question came about and the panelist replied "this is about ideology ...Islamic Fundamentalism" when an audience member referred to the real reason as being British Foreign Policy...
...soon after the Iraq war began the British Government admitted that Britain has now an increased chance of being targetted by terrorists because of the war we are involved in similar to that of 9/11 and straight after there were new laws passed governing terroist acts to question terrorist longer and so on...
..so my point is that there is no denying that British Foreign Policy is in part to blame not because by waging war we are asking for terrorism just the reality that there are groups who despise those states that wage war on muslims and support Israel...and there are other terrorist groups whose focus or issues surround either identity and persecution from another group such as Chechnya Rebels and ETA respectively addressing the Chechnyan Muslim and Catalan identity or people in a wider system that works against them as a people somehow but not as individuals...
..Lastly ideology is what is used to coerce the masses into a way of thinking that benefits the entity they are working in...
but just as idealism is realism dressed up so ideology as identity is insecurity dressed up and what brings this about ....poverty, suffering, death ...inequalities and bad treatment in society ..degradation and humiliation...
...when we ask how these terrorist behave what is the cause it is not a text book it is not an infactuation or idea.. it is an idea which corresponds with one experience of life in general...it is possible that increasing gaps within countries of the rich and poor is driving some individuals through their choice down the wrong path because they havent got the sense or intellect to refute it...

Not all terrorists are Muslims!
So your statements are a little inaccurate and bias to US driven media! But consider, the IRA (which seem to have disappeared now) were funded quite well by MacDonalds and supported by the USA. Iraq was sold its Super Gun and weapons by the US and if you look around the globe the one thing they have in common is hatred for the USA.
The US is the biggest source of terrorism in the world not any religion. They incite the hatred to justify their security budget and military spending.

Before i answer , make sure you hear this bit.
I do not agree in terrorism.
I know that when I was serving in NI I saw some terrible things.
Women being beaten with riot sticks, people being abused, (Innocent as far as I am aware) people being shot, people being humiliated and their human rights being totally dis-regarded on a daily basis.
Now if I saw this then there children saw this and hates breeds Hate.
Add to this evil fanatics teaching hatred to impressionable young people then you have the next generation of terrorism.
I do not know what the answer is, but it sure as hell ant working at the moment that's for sure.
If i was a young Arab, or a Young Jew, maybe i would see things very different to how i do now.
maybe having seen my mother or sister blown to bits, or tortured or imprisoned without trial would leave me feeling a tad angry and determined to seek revenge on those that had committed these atrocities.
Like i say, Hate breeds Hate, something needs to happen to break the cycle. and fast.
Before our children and there children are plunged into violence and terror for generations to come.

The way to think (I cannot give you the answers, but I can guide you) about this is to place yourself in their shoes. All people are pretty much the same, and nobody does things without reason or motive. Perhaps these people are not having their voices heard without all this crazy behaviour.
Perhaps they are fighting an enemy that neither you nor I are prepared to be. Maybe the fact that we are their enemy is beyond our control and we should reason with those that are in control of our side of things.
All I can confirm is that they are fighting against us. They see us as their enemy, and we need the truth. We need to know what our people have done to theirs that was bad enough to warrant what they are doing.

There has always been anger in man since the time of Adam and Eve. In the bible Cain and Able were brothers but one killed the other because he was jealous. Unless a person loves the Lord then they Will not love their fellow man. God loves all people including terrorists he hates their sin and what they do but he never stops loving them.

I could be persuaded to kill those who kill or intend/attempt to kill innocent people. It would take money though. Or an invasion.
They hate humanity because most of humanity is indifferent about theM. We make our own decision and we are free to do as we please within fairly reasonable constraints. They frown on self destructive behaviour and indulgent ways and they see our whole society which enables such vices as a counter to their culture. So naturally we are the enemy since they have convinced themselves they are the good and we are the bad.
Why since I was born in America as a white, baptist male am I any different than a stupid jihadist?
Education. That's the difference.
I know that he and I are the same except for what we have learned from our surroundings.
He may have a skewwed since of our reality as westerners because of media censorship in his country...
Plus the different religous teachings we were introduced to and they are taught to be highly militant against any non-muslims.

They dont hate humanity, they hate aspects of western society for forcing western values on them and failing to condemn aggressors.
What goes so wrong in their lives? Occupation by outside forces and a lack of concern about this by westerners.
Could I go that low? If the UK and our way of life was under threat, I would be tempted but I could not bring myself to harm an innocent.
I can understand some sense of anger on the part of people fighting to retain their way of life. I cant fully understand the murderous intent.
