We send money to the taxpaying innercity and it's called a waste. We send money to the source of ALL western wealth(africa) and it's considered a waste. We send a disproportionate amount to israel, which is home to only a few people and is part of an endless cycle of terror and that's justification to send more- We should offer them state hood after we force a joint israeli-palestinian government and everyone that opposes that, is an obstacle to peace. Aid to israel is the biggest waste of resources on planet earth. It has caused 100 holocaust and prevented any incentive for israel to be fair with its neighbors nevermind breeding unyielding resentment. It doesn't even work for israel to be a jumping off point for america to undermine africa and the middle-east because they attack israel in retaliation. How much hardship does israel suffer due to this unholy relationship- The aid isn't working, the occupation isn't working. If it were Nigeria or Detroit the $ would have dried up

Is it just me who finds it excrutiatingly embarrasing when Bush speaks?
Compare how and what he says with the British PM....it sounds like he is educationally subnormal or something...rabbiting on about Bowling, A reporters birthday, toothpaste and 'the suiciders' (sic) when there are thousands of innocent people being needlessly killed, strikes me as flippant in the extreme.....He also has the attention span of a goldfish...forgetting what question he was meant to be answering 3 times during the press conference!
Are the American people ashamed to have this cretin as their 'leader' when it is abundantly apparent that he is far less intelligent than any of the other world leaders and seems, now, even more than before, that he doesn't give a toss about the Wars he has started and the millions of people who's lives have been ruined by him.

In fact there are other issues that I have disagreed with people who support my views on Madeleine ....... such as smoking, immigration etc.

Does that sound like mindless followers to you?

All it shows is that the tide is turning against the McScams and the way they have misled the public and the media.

You know what they say, pride comes before a fall, and we all know Gerry has a lot of pride.

It seems that some people are getting the idea that if they read something on Yahoo!Answers it is the truth and counts as evidence. It's just rumour and speculation. Give me some hard facts when throwing your accusations around.

so they simply rehash whatever is in the Blog ........ how lazy is that? No wonder Gerry posts something every day or the journalists wouldnt bother writing about them at all.

I'd still love to know who's paying for the relatives to keep flying out to the Algarve each week ........or does it fall under

1.1.3 To provide support, including financial assistance, to Madeleine’s family.

Mccann concert a failure??
apparently there was a fundraising concert for the madeline fund held yesterday at Donnington Park. It had 'a list' celebs and stars such as runner up on X factor Rowetta and some boyband who had supported other big stars. The expected number to attend was 6000. It was hoped it would raise 35k for the fund. Apparently, according to the Leciester Mercury, 'over 80' people came. The concert lasted 8 hours. Thats 10 people an hour.
Cant help but smirk,,, sorry......

As a trainee social worker (for which I have been severely villified on YA!) I have just spent 2 hours discussing this case with my practice teacher - she is an independant reviewing officer for the london borough of . . . (ha you really thought I'd tell?) Which means she deals with child protection at a high level on a daily basis.
She said the McCann's will be seen by social services IF they ever return to the UK as they were neglectful of their duties as parents.

Why then are the so-called anti-McCanns - a term I personally hate . . being villified on YA and called a lynch mob if all we are doing is seeking what is right and peoper according to UK law?

(Pre-empting the answers about the CPS decision not to prosecute - there was no decision to make - the 'offence' if you want to call it that did not happen on UK soil but there remains concern (for social workers ) about the level of care they provide/d for the twins . . .)

Forget about WMD and 9/11. Forget about Oil and George Bush's ulterior motives with the assistance of Blair.

If the above factors are taken out of the equation and only the "Gas Attacks" on Halabja were the reason for invasion, then it surely must be a justified invasion.

Having read the above link, if you still see the invasion as unnecesarry, then I am afraid there is no hope for the future of the world.

Is your stance against the invasion because it (the invasion) has incited terrorists to infringe on the peaceful life you used to lead.?

Do terrorist attrocities now make you worry more than before the invasion?

If so, would it have been better not to invade and thus feel safer at home, leaving the Kurds and millions of others to whatever fate saddam had in mind for them?

Have to say the resort we stayed at was very child friendly. In the evening the parents sat out on the terrace watching the entertainment, their kids with them, running around and playing - the parents all kept an eye on them, as did the guys employed at the resort, even retrieving one little girl as she strayed too near the pool - she was returned to Mum who was also in persuit -NOW Gerry, thats what i call a FAMILY RESORT and a FAMILY HOLIDAY!

Gerry's Blog Tuesday 24 July 2007:

"Spent the whole day travelling from the Algarve to Washington where I will be visiting the National and International Centers for Missing and Exploited Children and meeting politicians involved in recent legislation on missing children. The flights for our campaign manager and myself were kindly donated by an airline."

Daily Mail, Saturday 28 July 2007:

"Settling into his sleeper bed in Virgin Upper Class (mindful of the sniping about the £946,000 fund for Madeleine, of which £67,000 has been spent, he bought an economy ticket, but was given a complimentary upgrade, the 39-year-old heart consultant was exhausted."

So which is it Gerry? Were the tickets donated or did you pay for them?
