Is it just me who finds it excrutiatingly embarrasing when Bush speaks?
Compare how and what he says with the British PM....it sounds like he is educationally subnormal or something...rabbiting on about Bowling, A reporters birthday, toothpaste and 'the suiciders' (sic) when there are thousands of innocent people being needlessly killed, strikes me as flippant in the extreme.....He also has the attention span of a goldfish...forgetting what question he was meant to be answering 3 times during the press conference!
Are the American people ashamed to have this cretin as their 'leader' when it is abundantly apparent that he is far less intelligent than any of the other world leaders and seems, now, even more than before, that he doesn't give a toss about the Wars he has started and the millions of people who's lives have been ruined by him.

The good old days when their approval ratings were high, and about how ungrateful people are that they don't appreciate all the sacrifice they've made. Its funny to me, Bush's approval ratings were at 28% last I knew, and a survey a year or so back showed only 72% of the American people knew the name of the Vice President. Any link in your mind between the political awareness of the people that approve of the President?

No, it's no just you who find the Dubya cringe-worthy and downright embarrassing. Mandela described Bush as a leader "who has no foresight and cannot think properly and who now wants to plunge the world into a holocaust".
Remember Bush said: "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." —Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004, and, "I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." —Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000. No wonder they can't see why Iraq is in such a mess.
Still, this is the same country where many people think that a second-time married man, caught in adultery, gambles at the casino, etc., is god incarnate. Only in the USA!
Brown has to watch he doesn't become that man's Scottish terrier now that the poodle has been let out on a long leash on a junket paid for by taxpayers in dozens of countries.

I find it deeply concerning that somebody of such stupidity can hold what is said to be the most powerful job in the world. I dont even find his blunders funny, it is cringing to watch and very annoying that he can just laugh it off and nobody seems to say anything to correct him. What's worrying; if we are in this situation now, things cannot be turned back around so it can only get worse i.e. such disregard for carelesness and a lowered standard of what is acceptable decorum in the practice of world leaders.

I think that he's been an embarrassment to the American people almost from the time he was first sworn in. I've watched him over and over squirm and wriggle and pull faces and generally be monosyllabic or give nonsensical answers to questions in press conferences, and such like, he's not statesmanlike, intelligent, and doesn't seem to know the first thing about foreign policy, how did he ever get elected, or was that's daddy's influence, i wonder.

He is a perfect example of a figure head, nothing more, nothing less. Though it is pretty funny to watch him speak but what makes it even more amusing is that the people of his country voted him in, twice, lol.

I agree with you, and it's really terrifying that this man is often described as *the most powerful man on Earth*, he's dangerous and a much bigger threat to world peace than terrorists are.
I expect it's his dad who's in control, and Dubya just does as he's told.

Someone mentioned to me that Newt Gingrich was "articulate" and "well-spoken"--and that he would make a GREAT President.

I was like: "Isn't this the same guy who FAILED to bring forth his Contract For America?"

Don't feel so bad about Bush's ineptness about talking fluently and with a brain. In 15 months, it'll be all over for him.

You bring up a good point, "If knowledge is power, what's Bush's excuse?". Think about that.
