as reported on bbc, a 2de year phyc student was leaving a libery ,
he looked like of arab extraction ,ON HIs WAY OUT OF HIS SCHOOL libary, and asked to show his id by people ,police comming into the libery
he refused ,or didnt have his id ,thus was escorted out
whole continuing outside under erscort,of the police one officer placed his hand on the guys arm ,t,the guy then let himself fall to the ground ,clearly if a civilian touched a policeman he would be charged with assult ,the student seems to have highlighted the inconcistancy in law by falling to the ground ,
the police then began tasering him when he got upset ,twice, the dude clearly went over board but then whats with the over reaction and demand for id ,from a duse clearly leaving
have we become a police state?
did the police have a right to ,ask for id ?
was it assult when they touched the dudes arm?
did they have the right to taser the dude?
is this as refusing to get off a bus seat for a white dude?

It's here again, an entire evening of national televised begging hosted by an array of awful celebrities.

I'm not against charity but why are we always being guilted into giving, on the street, on the net, in the mail, on TV.

Look at it like this, I pay Tax & NI like everyone else to the gov. who is supposed to use that money to take care of it's people but the money go's on stupid thinks like Iraq, so why should i be expected to give to charity to make up the difference?

children in need also supports children in Africa who have been orphaned by war which was fought with weapons sold to them by the British.

see where I'm coming from???

Have you guys heard about the guy shot at the walmart while standing in a long line to buy an electronic gaming device?

The guy apparently refused to give up the money when asked to do so and was shot for not doing so according to Foxnews. Injuries are not life threatening, according to Foxnews. It was two men who were robbed and shot.

Has everyone seen the video of the student from UCLA getting tasered. I am so shocked and appalled. Why would the police want to go out of there way to inflict such pain when it is so obvious they had other options available. Before all you "he had it coming" people want to jump in. The issue is not wether the student was wrong and the police needed to do something. The issue is wether what they did was necessary or simply excessive. It seems to me that we all should agree that after the first shock the police crossed the line into excessive.

Yahoo news:

LONDON (Reuters) - A man convicted of what has been described as the country's first "web-rage" attack, was jailed for 2-1/2 years on Friday for assaulting a man he had exchanged insults with over the Internet.

Paul Gibbons, 47, from south London, admitted he had attacked John Jones in December 2005 after months of exchanging abuse with him via an Internet chatroom dedicated to discussing Islam.

Should we all start being a bit nicer to each other on here now, then?

Back when O.J. was acquited I really thought he was innocent over the years I have changed my mind and now wish their was someway for him to get what he deserves. Also, even though I feel he is gulty now his lawyers at the trial did cause enough reasonable doubt for him to be acquitted

He's written this book called "IF I Did It". Don't you think he's pushing his luck? Doesn't this lowlife understand what he keeps putting his kids through each time he draws attention to the murders he got away with? He has hurt and pissed off an awful lot of people through the years, and someday someone may just take this jerk out. I can't believe the mob hasn't whacked him just on principle. His murders of two innocent people had no justification.

The Netherlands government is proposing a law to ban the wearing of the Burqa in public places.

Is this a reasoned, necessary law, or an over-reaction fuelled by fear and mistrust?

Will the law make the lives of non-Muslims better? Will it make the lives of Muslim women better? Or is it another step down the road to all-out hostility between the Christian and Muslim worlds?
