my mother in law passed away sat the 11th we found her body on sunday the 12th she lives in south holland illinois ans her name is ingrid smith i can find all the articals about the murder but not the obituarie can you help?

I'm so very sorry for your loss and the pain your family must be feeling. I'm in the Chicago area so I checked the Tribune and Sun Times online but there was nothing there (they seem to use the same database).

The link below is an Obituary finder. There are a large number of pages for "Smith" and many are cross referenced to a maiden name. Maybe you'll find something there...

An obituary is typically filed by the funeral home and when arrangements are made, they ask whether you want one. If you are certain that a death notice was paid for and placed, contact the funeral home and ask them to help you get a copy.

I don't know enough about Illinois to find the closest paper, but here's a site listing of papers on line in Illinois. Hope this helps.
