Everyone is being spoon fed by the media. I was in class the other day where the teachers basically sputter bull**** all class long. The wiretapping program DOES NOT LISTEN TO YOUR CALLS. In fact, it tracks overseas calls only. It does not listen in to the conversation. It strips all information of the telephone user leaving it only with the phone number. Any numbers repeadtedly calling these "hot spots" in the world are suspicious. ONLY THEN will they dig up your information. But they DO NOT LISTEN. I wish the media would stop bad mouthing our nation. If you are reading this, and this seems foreign to you, open your mind and stop absorbing all media information.

This was in the Daily Mail so I accept the paper has possibly skewed the story to fit their political stance but an unemployed man has fathered 15 children, lives with his wife AND mistress (ok, the women are idiots - not so much his fault. All I can say is that he must be amazing in bed). They are BOTH pregnant again and they receive benefits in excess of £500 a week.

They want to move to a bigger house and the council cannot move them immediately. They quoted this man as saying 'I'm really ashamed of what's happening. I think this country is going down the pan' (because the council wouldn't move him!!!).

My politics are left of centre but does anyone else think this is just obscene? I'm interested if anyone can offer even one word in his defence.

I was thinking about this earlier on. I know it's an old topic but it still remains important. Remember the caricatures of Muhammad? Well, how come it was called freedom of expression? A french comedian once came on stage dressed as a hassidic jew with a swastika on his arm and saying "Heil Hitler!" in reference to the way Palestinians are treated by the Israeli authority in place. Dieudonne, which is his name, got banned from every TV station and pretty much every media. He was slated as an anti-semitic fascist. (he Cameroonian/french...) Just imagine, people, how the world would react if any western newspaper portrayed a jewish person, ANY jewish person, not even the jewish "prophet", with a big nose and some money held in his "claws". Would that be considered freedom of expreesion? NO. Now, how come western newspapers caricaturising Muhammad, the prophet of over 2 million people, is considered freedom of expression then?

I read this Kevin Sites story The Rape of the Congo and it was horrible and several other stories just as bad. I'm white but I really wonder if it is because they are black that not many people seem to care. I hope not.

I am trying to find the names of the people who died in the ferry disaster off the coast of Belgium in 1987. The ferry was the Herald of Free Enterprise when 192 passengers and crew died as a result of leaving the ferry bow door open as it left port.

VIENNA (Reuters) - It took 25 firefighters, his wife and a son to roll Lulu the cow off Austrian farmer Leopold Zeilinger after she fell on him.
When Zeilinger discovered the 1,764-pound cow was too sick to stand up for milking, he used a winch to suspend her in the air. Part of the gear broke and Lulu toppled onto him, the daily Krone reported Wednesday.
Zeilinger suffered several broken bones and was airlifted to a hospital.
There was no word on Lulu's fate.

Why is this guy trying to milk a sick cow? The cow could have virus running in its system or have mad cow disease. The guy deserves to get crushed. They should put him in jail. Disgusting. I am going to switch to soymilk from now on.

I mean, before it was a categoric NO, but now it seems that they are admitting the possiblity (certitude if you ask me) that explosives were involved in the WTC freefall-speed demolitions. That kind of demolition takes weeks if not months of planning - you can't just set a bomb in a steel building and expect it to crumble! At least it will topple over, not fall in it's footprint. WTF????
