There was also a rather large tidal wave that killed hundreds of thousands of people, an AIDS crisis in Africa that has killed millions,nasty little bugs called SARS and bird flu in Asia, some genocide in Rwanda, some nukes in North Korea, an at least a few of us may have noticed a bit of global warming. (Who says Americans have a limited world view)
