It can affect it negatively and postively.

In the instance of the Cronulls riots in OZ. Because it was shown all around the world people felt threatened and didn't want to visit because of racial tension. That left the infamous Bondi Beach deserted. That is negative but I guess for ones safety.

In the instance of the Beaconsfield Miners who were trapped in the mine - it bought a lot of tourism, maybe for the wrong reasons, to that little town. There was the media who was spending up big, the people who went for a gawk and now it's an area people may want to visit because of what happened. Althought it lost that little town a lot of money in the mining world it bought the tourism dollars in.

I guess media can make or break if you are going to go somewhere. It is good to know if bad is going down somewhere but it's even better to see the nicer places in the world.

i think it is affect for sure as they can fouce in good view about some country to make tourist fasnating like to go there ,also may be they picture some places as terrorist and dangerous places , you can imagine if someone tell you why not come to bakistan to make a tour .do you think you can go ?
