Are you, like me, fed up with your postal service.

I work in the West End (London) and we don't seem to receive our post until 1pm these days.

Does anyone know what is happening?

I also saw on GMTV this morning that the Post Office is going to be investigated because of the unusual times that they are picking up post. e.g. Instead of picking up at 8:30am they pick it up at 3:30pm

Tell me what you thinkof this annoyance?

In todays modern society how come we have still not managed to harness the waters around our shores and purify them in order for us to use it for everyday purposes.
There must be a way to do this with all the modern technology we have at our disposal, and it would help stop the erosion of the coastline and why not use it for fire fighting and industrial use.
There must be countless uses for seawater, and it would be cheap, and imagine all those countries who are surrounded by oceans and have no water to drink.

the leader of the North Korean Communist Party, Kim Jong Il, to abandon any further nuclear ambitions through any means necessary in direct confrontation with North Korea.

Would you support:

1. Military intervention by the U.S. with or without allies.
2. Diplomatic/open discussions between the U.S. and North Korea.
3. Economic blockade as was done by President Kennedy toward Cuba in the early 1960's.
4. Sanctions.
5. Other.
6. Ignore the matter.

Remembering, the U.S. has never gone to war against any nation that had nuclear capabilities as North Korea also boasts of having a one million man army.

Should we wait until after the Middle East conflict is over or should we begin taking action immediately against North Korea?

Will the issue of North Korea become a factor in the mid-term elections in Nov. 2006?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - In Alaska's native villages, the punishing winter cold is already coming through the walls of the lightly insulated plywood homes, many of the villagers are desperately poor, & heating-oil prices are among the highest in the nation.A few villages are refusing free heating oil from Venezuela, on the patriotic principle that no foreigner has the right to call their president "the devil." Residentspay more than $5 a gallon for oil — or at least $300 a month per household — to heat their homes along the wind-swept coast of the Bering Sea, where temperatures can dip to minus-15.,

Over the past two years, Citgo, the Venezuelan government's Texas-based oil subsidiary, has given millions of gallons of discounted heating oil to the poor in several states and cities — including New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine — in what is widely seen as an effort by Chavez to embarrass and irritate the U.S. government and make himself look good.

Just curious - I worked in the local Red Cross shelter for the first two weeks after the storm (in NE Mississippi). I know the recovery is progressing very slowly, in Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana. And I know there is much left to be done, but it seems that the national media can only pay attention to New Orleans, and there are many other areas that were hit by the hurricane much harder.

I have no reason for asking, other than curiosity.
