It would appear to be real though the Nuclear bomb they tested (not weapons grade, couldn't send it via missle or by plane.) was less powerful than those dropped in WWII

It's reported that there was no change in background radiation but you would hope that if it was real that would be the case anyway because it was deep enough underground. Let's face it, they aren't going to tell the rest of the world if they just detonated 15 thousand tons of tnt instead. It's a very secretive regime.

Hoax. Kim Jong-il just fell and smacked his big-*ss head on the ground causing the earth to shake the same amount of a one mega-ton nuclear bomb.

Who cares.The two most warlike nations on the planet,both have nuclear weapons.Plus the means to attack a perceived aggresser.They are the USA and Israel.

Either way dont loose any sleep over it folks. If they can afford nukes I say let em all have them. Same goes for Iran. I dont think any of these lil nutcases have the balls to Nuke the US.

No one really knows yet. The N. Koreans could have just set off a bunch of conventional bombs, or maybe it was just another earthquake.
