We are definitely NOT equal. By law do you want a criminal to have the same as a policeman? These are big time nations here, and USA is the biggest, big time nation there is right now.

What difference do you think you might see if Hitler or Mao had come out on top, and controlled the path of civilization to the extent that the US and UK and allies have? If Sadam were released, would you rush to help him rebuild his regime? The three main countries not supporting the US in the mess were France, Russia and Germany? WHY? Because they were making BILLIONS of dollars supplying weasons to dictatorships that were killing millions of people.

Nuclear weapons aren't going away, at least for now they are safer out of the hands of mad men dictators who can use them without even consent of their government. USA is not going to give up the weapons, but it makes sense that the world will be safer the least amount of them around as possible.

You want EQUALITY among all nations???? Wow, can't believe you thought that question through.

So you want nuclear? Look what happened at Chernoble. You think it can't happen to your, country, you're so smart. What about 3 mile island? The Iranian Government has to be the craziest in the world. They have enough oil for energy to last forever. But
they think they need nuclear power? Maybe your country is small. So where are you going to put the nuclear waste..

One of the problems is if you allow these countries the ability to create.... "the bomb" they are more likely to use it than one the other countries that have it. Not a lot of people know that we nearly were involved in a atomic war in the 60's Kennedy talked the Russian president out of it at the last minute... Now if Iran or North Korea has the technology, which it seems North Korea has, it makes the world a far more dangerous place.

Equality is not measured by the power to destroy the world, in my opinion.

All countries should have the right to self-govern and have a free market, not kill everyone else on the planet if some crackpot takes over. Every country does NOT need to be a nuclear power.

Instead of bickering of who should have the nukes or not would the world not be a safer place if all the countries who have these technologies to destroy all the nuclear arms which they have for the safety of the whole planet.

The problem lies with countries like Iran, N. Korea being not the most stable countries in the world, and also allowing U.N. inspectors in. We should try to eradicate nuclear arsenal from the planet as one day some extremist idiot is going to get their hands on it and then BANG goes the planet. Just my opinion..

Its not a matter of being equal, its a matter of, WHAT they will use those weapons for. We can have those because we aren't out to take over the world, and our allies aren't either. So, we are just trying to be careful, and watching them with a close eye.

No. Equality is a myth perpetuated by politicians.

Do you really want North Korea or Venezuela to have the capability to put an atom bomb in your living room?
