the leader of the North Korean Communist Party, Kim Jong Il, to abandon any further nuclear ambitions through any means necessary in direct confrontation with North Korea.

Would you support:

1. Military intervention by the U.S. with or without allies.
2. Diplomatic/open discussions between the U.S. and North Korea.
3. Economic blockade as was done by President Kennedy toward Cuba in the early 1960's.
4. Sanctions.
5. Other.
6. Ignore the matter.

Remembering, the U.S. has never gone to war against any nation that had nuclear capabilities as North Korea also boasts of having a one million man army.

Should we wait until after the Middle East conflict is over or should we begin taking action immediately against North Korea?

Will the issue of North Korea become a factor in the mid-term elections in Nov. 2006?

Yes it will be an issue in the election, because it is an important matter than needs to be addressed and dealt with instead of just standing by waiting for something to happen.

I think we should begin taking action now, cause the Middle East conflict could never end.

I'm not sure if the embargo act would work, possibly because whatever we have and withhold from them they will get from other places. Although we do rely on them pretty heavilily for exports, since it is cheaper over there than in the US, they would still be able to survive fine without that money coming in.

I think the best case scenario for us right now is 2 then sanctions and as a last resort 1.

1. Yes
2. No, he's been given enough cash
3. Yes
4. Yes
5. Destroy his nuclear capability and return his country to it's state before clinton gave him the technology.
6. NO if we ignore him he'll just make bigger bombs until we take notice.

The Cold War with Russia was war, it just wasn't conventional. One million hungry Koreans are no match for the American soldier.

Take action now, conduct air sorties

It better be an issue in the elections. We need to vote with the real issues in mind.
