U.S. military deaths in Iraq hit 2,748

As of Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, at least 2,748 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes seven military civilians. At least 2,176 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.

all for nothing ! the world is not better off cause of this war. terrorism is increasing exponentially since the war.

pisses me off all those people died...and when you look at the numbers, its sickening.....we don't see or hear but 3 died, 2 died, etc. on the news, but if you were to line up white crosses for all that have died so far it would show just how many 2,176 really is.....too many!!!
