Do you think the leaders of Islam do and say all they can to discourage terrorism?
Following the numerous Islamic fundamentalist attacks around the world, there appears to be very little public condemnation of the acts from the Muslim community.
Now I have absolutly no doubt that the vast majority of muslims reject and are as horrified by these attacks as the rest of us. What I would like to see and hear is promiant muslim leaders making joint statements with British government officials condeming any such acts of violence. Instead, we hear a lot from the Muslim Council of Great Britain concerning Islamophobia and the muslim community feeling vindicted and targeted by idiots who think that anyone who has dark skin is a terrorist.
My point is this: had muslim leaders made a stance and showed more solidarity with British leaders, I believe there would have been far less Islamophobia, less intolerance and less violence towards muslims. Do you agree with this view?
