Only buy a paper on a Saturday and a Sunday

The Times on a Saturday and The Telegraph on a Sunday - both best for Sport and International News.

Can't understand why anybody would bother with The Sun / Mirror / Star unless you need a loan or a mobile phone.

The internet is no substitute for a newspaper. It is magnificent for answering particular questions or for delivering information on a given topic. However, would one trade this for the serendipity of the newspaper? the chance-found snippet of news or information that brightens the day, sharpens the outlook, or deepens one's analysis? besides which, some of us need The Times' crossword!

I don't read the paper. For my news I've always relied on televised news (normally on the BBC). I do read online news sometimes, mainly when I'm bored during my lunch break at work. But since I discovered yahoo answers I spend my lunch breaks here instead, and don't go on news websites much.

The internet doesn't show all the little things that happen around my small town, so I read the paper.

But for national/global news, AOL and Yahoo news is the best!
