Several posters rush to condemn this question, yet part of it allows the option of stating other opinions if the first two don't meet their satisfaction!

Just goes to show that you can't please everyone, I guess.

Back to your assessment of Bush, OK?

What is this, some kind of forced choice question? (g)

Wish you hadn't made it an "either/or" selection---and, for what it's worth, I'm a registered Republican (and have been so for years).

The best overall commentary I can give is swiped from a T-shirt worn by an anarchist:

Bush-Cheney in 2004: Because Things Aren't Falling Apart Fast Enough

Bush will be remembered as one of the greatest presidents of American history. Those who vilify him will be forgotten. Despite the judgment of his peers, history will vindicate him when the Arab world is finally modernized and civilized. In 20-30 years we will have 2 maybe even 3 or 4 fully functional Arab democracies where moderate Muslims will once again be free to exercise the genius of their race and not slaughter their children in pointless wars against Israel and the West.
Those who hate him are petty, small minded souls lacking faith and vision. They dismiss not only him but the millions of Arabs who daily risk life and limb trying to create a new and better world for themselves.

You can say what you want about Bush, that is what is so great about America but as an outsider looking in, all I can do is laugh. He was voted in twice for Governor in Texas and twice as President so if that makes him a fool, what does that make the voters that support him? I personally believe that anyone that quotes a Bible in one breath, then talks about clarifying anything, needs to give their head a shake. He is a mis-guided rich kid who has never had to work at/for anything in his life and if his vision of America includes his little chats with God, then he is no better than than the extremists he is so gung-ho about protecting us from.
