I think her name was Sandra West. Her husband was killed in an accident in the same car. She put it in storage to be used as her coffin with her sitting behind the wheel in a night gown.

I was just going to sleep in a tent in the Western Australian desert and heard a brief bulletin on the BBC that a plane had hit the World Trade Center, before dozing off.

Does anyone think of the torture of all the victims families etc. when they have to watch 9/11 on TV all the time. I saw some of it and it makes me so sad, and just brings back the anger for me.
Imagine what the poor families feel, and do they have to turn off the TV?
Whe never forget Pearl Harbor, We sure as Hell aren't going to forget that horrific day. Do you think we need the media to remind us all the time???

I'm talking about verifiable facts, not the official reports, but the verifiable scientific facts surrounding 9/11. I think it is in extremely poor taste for BushCo to attend any 9/11 memorial services as he won't even PROVE that the Pentagon was actually hit by a plane. I mean really, all he would have to do is to order the FBI to release the video tapes they confiscated from the Shereton Inn and the gas station across the street from the Pentagon. Play those tapes and prove that a 757 hit the Pentagon and we'll all shut up. As it is though, the verifiable evidence PROVES that no plane hit the Pentagon as it is PHYSICALLY impossible for a plane to hit a building and only leave a hole and no markings where the 12000 engines traveling at over 500 MPH would had to have hit. PLUS, there is not even ONE SCRATCH where the wings would have had to have hit the building, PLUS, there were no identifiable plane parts on the scene. Bush should PROVE his innocence or stay away from everyone.

Public support for the war in Iraq is dying. Do you think that Bush will pull another 9/11 attack on America? He needed 9/11 the first time; do you think that he needs another one to get us "back in his corner"?

9/11?

For me, it was waking up the next day and noticing the picture on the very back page (facing out, not inside the paper) of the St. Pete Times. It was a full page photo of bodies falling from the tower. I remember just breaking down, angry about the truth of the photo, angry that some dad somewhere was reading his paper at the table and knowing his children were looking at that picture from across the table. I know I cried the day before - sat on my couch after leaving work early like everyone else watching CNN and cried. But I wailed when I saw that picture. It was primal, somehow. I felt it all through me, as though I had not breathed for 24 hours and then I did and it all came out in one howl that seemed to last for 10 minutes.

God bless those who died, those who were left behind, those who helped and those who prayed. God bless them all.

defined as 'violent or terrorist acts.'
Today, e.g. , "Israeli Tank fire kills l4-year old Palestinian boy in an OFFENSIVE move", and other news...The Israeli military has been pressing an "OFFENSIVE" in Gaza since June. OR "Israel to begin "OFFENSIVE" ground assault by bombing Gaza bridges" OR "more than 80 Palestinians killed in Israeli OFFENSIVE."

yet Palestinian responses to Israeli attacks, are classified as "violence" or "terrorist acts."
Killing is violence no matter who pulls a trigger, throws a stone, or rolls a tank into an occupied apartment.

And its all about land, or so we are led to believe.
Still, this conflict exists it appears, because Israel and Palestine each believes different versions of the same history regarding land rights. And so they fight like little chldren, and kill and maim and refuse to give in
Its ALL violence.
and please. No knee-jerk reactions. I'Im on NEITHER side.

I'm just curious about this very obvious play of words and definitions.
