Funny you should say that - since the survivors are dying off, there is a project to create a website to "Remember Pearl Harbor!"
It's called the Pearl Harbor Survivor's Project:

Pearl Harbor was an act of war; the 9/11 attacks were not acts of war. On 9/11, criminals committed criminal acts against private and government property standing on US soil. The location was immaterial, because the attacks were criminal acts, rather than acts of war.
The administration in power has hidden ever since behind the lack of rational thinking skills on the part of the American people. Americans are easily lied to and easily fooled because they are not well trained in logical thinking skills.
But if you think about it logically, there is a HUGE difference between an act of war like the attack on Pearl Harbor and a criminal act like the attack on the World Trade Center or the attack on the Pentagon.
And a greater issue may be whether the people will remember that after five years, Osama bin Laden is still the mastermind, and nothing the administration tries to do to confuse the American people will change that. And despite the full capacity of the US military and intelligence apparatus, we still haven't caught him.

No matter if people think they need it or not, 9/11 is here to stay. Now that there are two films out on the subject there will be more, and then fictional dramas & love stories, detective stories, the works. It's the nature of what our society has become over the years, and there's no getting around it.

No, people have not forgotten December 7, 1941, and it may be a good idea to show folks video footage of 9-11, to remind them of what happens when a society gets too comfortable.

As bad as Pearl Harbor was, there are some clear differences:
1. We knew who the enemy was.
2. They targeted military hardware and personnel
Look what we're dealing with now...

<>No, we don't forget Pearl Harbor, and I notice no one has proposed any wacky theories about it being a US government plot, either. The horrors of 9/11 are sliding down a long abyss into oblivion because too many people don't believe it happened, and too many people want to say "Hey, we love you and we forgive you." I say- Never Forget, Never Forgive!

It is never forgotten but not remembered as vividly as it is by the people who were there.
