why people dont like bikes & bikers so much?

i mean we are the one who save spaces & fuels. car drivers are the one who keep stuffing the road & become traffic jam.
i know sometimes we do dangerous stunts on the road, but if accident happen, car driver wont hardly get hurt. we are. wat are u affraid of?
yea..keep sucking the earth dry to gas up ur SUV. plss dont hate us..

Many people don't hate them, I for one applaud the safe ones. Like you said they save tons of gas.

That said however, there are the unsafe ones that even though they may not be involved in the accident they cause because of their ridiculous stunts, may nonetheless be responsible for causing death and destruction.

Also there is a "biker" segment of the population who deliberatly go out of their way to cultivate a certain "tough" "killer" "gang" persona and image. They esentially want people to be afraid of them or hate them they get off on it.

I love bikes, and certainly appreciate the sound of a flock of them, it's sweeeeeet. But some jerks are jerks no matter what they drive.

Bikers for the most part are just average people. If you have never ridden on or drove a bike than you have know idea what it is like ridding around and have cars not paying attention so you end driving for yourself and every other idiot out there. Yea everyone is in a hurry you have a two ton SUV vs. 600 pounds of bike and you wonder why bikers want to be left alone it will scare the hell out you sitting at a stop light and hear screeching tire behind you and when you look back and see that SUV bumper only inches from your legs when it stopped if that person had waited just a half a blink more you would be sitting in the hospital wondering were your one leg is or maybe worse your wife or mother could be planning your dirt nap. So we put loud pipes on our bikes so you can hear us, we move a little slower because we do not want to be road kill. Give the bikers a brake they are just trying to stay alive so they can go home to their wife and kids or loved ones or who ever. Just put yourself in their shoes for one minute and maybe you will see things through their eyes and give them a little respect and room that is all they want JUST LIKE YOU.

honestly, if this were a question, i would tell you its because bikers most always are in the way of general traffic. they hold up traffics flow and create potential accident obstacles to drivers. In the world of ever increasing road rage towards anyone who happens to hold other drivers up (even momentarily) and everyone driving in a "rush rush rush" frame of mind, it is rather obvious why, Regardless of fuel efficiency or space, why people hate bikers/bicyclists.

I rode for much of my life. There are many different kinds of bikes and bikers. What I don't like are loud obnoxious Harleys and the jerks who think they're cool. They're not. They're way overpriced, they're way the puck too loud, they vibrate too much, and they're slow. The sound of a rice rocket or a nice Ducati whizzing by on his back wheel is far more pleasant than a Harley, with all it's obnoxious noise, barely able to keep up with traffic.

From what i've observed, what people dislike is the loudness of the bikes - which often is perceived as a "don't care attitude" and being antisocial towards others that share the space around them, and causing noise pollution where none is welcome.

I know those experiences have made me want to avoid biker clusters...

I don't dislike bikes or bikers at all. I just don't like irresponsible drivers, no matter what the vehicle. There are alot of nuts out there, if anything bikers are even more at risk.

People are naturally "afraid" of things they don't know. If they got on one and experienced the excitement, they might just enjoy it and buy theirselves one! I think they "sterotype" the Hells Angels with bikes. I have never ridden one myself but would love too!! You keep on biking!!! It is freedom, baby!!
