See the source. It'll tell you about the names of cyclones everywhere...And, NO, there will probably never be a Shaniqua.

i dont think they will use shaniqua most of the names that they used are ones that have been used a long time ago but never became a hurricane. If it does become a hurricane then they retire that name and then use another one, however i think they get the names from dead people, so shaniqua i doubt will be used maybe for another hundred years

the NOAA has a list that they go through. It is already a preset list, if they start with a male name, then the next is a female name. They skip a few of the letters.... if a hurricane is real strong then they will retire the name.
after they get through with all of the names for a year, then they use the greek alphabet (i think)
these sites should be able to help you.... As for shaniqua...., I am not sure... it is not a common name as most of the names on the list are. It may be quite a while, so don't hold your breath.

Well, there seem to be more and more of them coming each year, so eventually we're going to run out of more common names. I wouldn't be surprised if Hurricane Shaniqua happened eventually.

I doubt there will be one anytime soon. There's supposedly a list that the meterological association has of the different names. They go alphabetically and they alternate between male and female names.

Hahaha.... Well, Hurricanes are like women.(you've heard the jokes)
Bleh... oversensitive american women... Can't deal with hurricanes being names after them.... They should just name them like--.. R2D2, C3pO, MOnkeything, OogaBooga, 4563534.33, Pi etc.
Er... Yeh.. Could they name one Raju?
