Seriously - I can't understand it - Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.... and plus so many black people are religious -- or at least they're religious and know how to "get some church up in here" on Sundays...

Oh, yeah, I'm sure it's because his consituency thought he was "real" enough, or "down" enough or whatever -- but God - everytime I see him on tv, I have to say to myself: What the F!!!! He doen't inspire confidence at all!

You always hear about it - my parents didn't raise me that way - and I sure don't see many white people or people from other groups acting that way - what is the deal?

Isn't it someone who claims to believe in something he doesn't
really believe in? And aren't the majority of people hypocrites by
proxy? In that they are only "parroting"? Repeating what they hear?
And they never take time to discover what they are supposed to believe? Or whatever their supposed field of expertise?
So, all you "Agnostics", "Pagans", "Christians", and assorted
"Experts"! Do your HOMEWORK!
The floor is open for thoughtful, or " whiney baby" responses.

I think he should be able to keep it, it is his own garden. They could make him get rid of the part that makes it emit smoke etc. but he should at least be able to keep the actual thing.

What are your views?

I think by now, Americans understand that we're committed when it comes to the war on terror and finishing what we started in Iraq. Tax dollars, man hours, and lives. We are up to our noses in committment in our attempts to turn war torn Iraq's infrastructure into a state of semblence. Just the other day, President Bush said that the war in Iraq is talking a toll on America's pysche. But we're also committed to building a free Iraq. Having said that, he now wants to recall Marine reservists for yet another tour in Iraq? Committed, committed, committed. I hate that word. It's high time for the Iraqi leadership, and the Iraqi government to get off their rear, act like they got a pair, and start running their own friggin' country. I'm sure that there are Iraqi citizens who want nothing more than to rid themselves of Americans so that they can start living their own lives, free of Marines, and Soldiers patrolling their streets. I'm not sure how you feel or if you even care?

Take a look at Brazil and their fuel programs. Still today, they sell ethanol for a mere .99 cents per gallon. The "new" flex-fuel engine designed by GM has been in Brazil for the past 10 years! Big oil does not want our farmers in the fuel market. Why? because they (as a group) can then fund campains and have an influence on America. What is your take on this?

We pay council tax like other people monthly. This years council tax runs from 1st April 2006 until 31st March 2007.
We recently missed one payment which was for August 2006 which should have been paid on the 1st of August. We haven't missed a payment before and then today we recieved a summons to appear in court next month. The right to pay bye installments has been withdrawn and they want full payment for the year ended 31st march 2007 up front. e.g £1000
Is it us or does this seem harsh to you good people?????

In 1995 a retired oil executive said to me they capped off full oil wells in Texas for profit, and a few months ago a former accountant for oil companies in Texas in 1980 said his job was to write off for taxes wells they had just tapped full of oil, and I was just told a man in Alaska lost his job after oil companies capped full wells. Alaska, Texas, Lousiana, the Gulf, Mexico, Venezuela, Russia, China, Somalia all have oil why are we buying only from the middle east?
