I live in a town where, thankfully, many local businesses are still striving. Unfortunately we don't have that much money and, as they don't have the buying power of the big chains/supermarkets, things brought from the independant/small business tend to cost more.

Should I take the ethical line and shop locally, even if it's not financially prudent of me to do so I should I just stick to the big stores to save a few pence in the pound but helps keep small business alive?

I had a bad experience in the Plymouth "church of scientology" (they "hired" me by telling me it was a proper carreer and that it would be just 40 hours a week which all turned out to be lies, I've finally escaped!). Are they all like this? What's your experience of it?

Ok, in the states we have one store chain that sells goods for cheaper than anyone else. Its called "WAL -MART" and its pretty low class and mostly poor people shop there.

Does the UK have a large store chain like this? Is there an online website? I would love to have a look at what gets sold in the UK in those sorts of stores.

We import and supply very good value Hardwood floors online at our site www.cityfloors.co.uk. We are getting a lot of customers wanting us to recommend fitters. We wondered if anyone could suggest people they have used as we feel this is better than just picking a random name from the phone book for a given area. I guess to a lesser extent we would like to know who to avoid aswell.

I said yes but I am now thinking is it too soon even though I can honestly see myself with him in many many years to come. He is in the Army aswell based in Germany and I don't know if that has played a part in influencing my decision... Help!

I'm thinking of selling some of my old stuff on there, but would like opinions please. Have you sold anything using e bay? Do you find the site any good for selling? Were you paid fairly and promptly?

I await your responses. Thankyou in anticipation.

I have been bequeathed a framed photograph of my grandmother as a child taken in 1920. It is in it's original frame with brown paper holding the photo in at the back of the frame. There are many family members who would like a copy made, but I am unsure where to take the photo to ensure that neither the photo or the frame are damaged. I live near King's Lynn in Norfolk, but am willing to travel (within reason) to find the right person for the job.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful.
