I just got an incomplete set of china. On the bottom it says Melba China Co, England and the number 2146. If any one can give me any more information on where I might go to finish out the set, or if anyone has this pattern and is willing to part with it, I would be most appreciative. Thanks!

I have a 12 man tent and it has a rip in the pole holder in on of the sleeping compartments. Being of limited means, I would prefer to repair the tent rather than buy a new one. Does anyone know if there is a suitable repair kit that can be used.

Boric acid is a powder that is used in solution with water for an eye wash; so it is quite safe. Is this the powder used to prevent crawling insects from entering a building?

We just got a brand new house which we love. We haven't moved in yet but we went over there to get some ideas on where we want to put all of our furniture. When I was in the house, I saw 3 wasps inside. There are many wasp nests outside the back door and front door. I don't know if they came in when we went in the front door or if they somehow came in through the vents. Is it possible for them to come in through the A/C vents? Also, we went out into the backyard, when we did, we saw a LONG black snake that stood straight up and then ran away. My hubby said it was just a harmless snake, but we have a 1 year old and a 5 year old and the thought of a snake in the backyard horrifies me. These things wouldn't typically bother me, but we have kids!

Is there any thing a pest control man can do to keep wasps from making nests outside of our house? Also, is there anything we can do to keep the snakes OUT of our yard?

I was excited to move in, but now I'm totally creeped out. :(

Here is the deal. My last month statement meter reading was 22542. I just got my bill in and this month was 25652 (a whopping 3110 kw/h used). This is the MOST it has EVER been (including the winter). I went to check my meter today and it is at 26932 (1280 kw/h used so far). It does not say the date the meter was checked. These are the things that are run, on, or plugged in ALL the time:
Appliances
Computer
Televisions
Game systems (X-box 360, Wii, Playstation 3)
Treadmill
Fish Tank

I use natural lighting (windows and open doors) for light during the day and most of the time the only lights on in the house after dark are the fish tank and a lamp (60 watt bulb). I open the windows (because it is so nice outside). The heater only comes on for 6 hours at night to keep the house warm enough for the kids.

How can I lower the electric bill so that it is better for the environment and saves me money?

Thanks in advance to everyone who responds!

We are thinking of buying a house, the high end of the utility bill is about $250, thats for everything gas electric water and sewer. When we looked a this house they had the heat about 5-7 degrees higher than we would, how much of a difference would this make on a bill? Significant, or not much at all?
Thanks.
