Homemade are the best, and they're fun to do.

Store bought. Every handmade candle I have ever had burns fast and makes a lot of black nasty smoke. I never light the handmade ones. What's the point of having a candle if you can't burn it?

Preferably store bought. I find that they hold up better. Now there are a few local candle shops in my area that make their own and as long as they are made in a factory setting, they are just as good.

If someone makes it out of their home, it usually melts weird and everywhere.
