It has to prevent the soil from drying out and has to suppress weeds if at all possible?
Excuse the poor way of wording the question.
Soil: Clay
Position: all options possible.

Hello - We are in the process of having an inground pool installed. We have moss rock all around the back of the pool as well as a few waterfalls. How can I remove the moss and prevent it from coming back? Is there a particular sealer I can use to make it look wet and protect from moss growing on it? I like the look of the rock, just don't feel like dealing with the moss. At this point, I can't change the rock, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

slope in southeastern Mass. on a lake. It's a well shaded area. Also, there are wild grasses there now, and we were hoping to find some plants that would flourish among the grasses.
Thanks.

My web searches do not find anything and my landscape guy is not very bright. They have branches coming from the base and are 2 years old and about 3 feet high. They are not Japanese maples. I would like to know if I need to prune them into bushes or trees. They are planted close to the front porch and does not allow much for width or height. Thanks to any green thumbs.:)

The builder was supposed to landscape before they left, but did not, so we are on our own. These boxes are an eyesoar and need to be hidden, but accessible.

The previous owners of my family's house owned a landscaping company; Unfortunately, they all married off and the plants and grass was left uncared for.

There is /one/ rosebush and I was wondering how I can whip it back into shape so it will fully bloom! I didn't know what it was at first until I saw a single, dead flower on it. My mom said it was a rose. Another thing is that there are thorns all over the bush.

Where do I start? I am extremely new to gardening, keep that in mind. Pictures of the rose bush's condition are below.

The whole bush:

I planted some Holly Hocks and am scared to get near them as we live in the country and snakes are popular in the summer time. My niece said she heard they attract copper head snakes.

I planted them right next to eachother in a partial shade and the one is fine but the other's leaves are curling in on themself. I have watered them everyday, and once with the miracle grow liquidfeed. The only oops I made was when I was reading the the pamphlet I thought it said likes salty soil, so I put some salt in the dirt but when I went back to the pamphlet is said tolerant to salty soil. What should I do?

I have a peach tree in my backyard that is dying. The tree is a adult that been their for more then 50 years! The branches are turning darker and no leaves or fruit are being formed. Some of the tree is still bearing fruit and leaves. I would like to know is this a disease or lack of watering?

My friend bought me one from WalMart, & she encouraged me to try a new hobby in caring for plants in order to manage stress. How often should I water it & what else do I need to do in order for it to grow healthy & fine & not die on me within 3 days?

In the past, I've tried to care for roses & make them grow, but they died within 3 days. I think I may have drowned it, not knowing how much water to put in it.

They are pretty small, maybe the size of a quarter, each. Purple, but some get whiter toward the inside of the petals. This is the only one as well. There are not others like this anywhere in my yard.

They are all branching off of one stem and only the bottom teir has bloomed. These are growing in my yard in Colorado and I don't know if they are wild or if the previous owner planted them.
