Hello - We are in the process of having an inground pool installed. We have moss rock all around the back of the pool as well as a few waterfalls. How can I remove the moss and prevent it from coming back? Is there a particular sealer I can use to make it look wet and protect from moss growing on it? I like the look of the rock, just don't feel like dealing with the moss. At this point, I can't change the rock, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My husband just removed it with his pressure washer. Any suggestions for how to prevent it from coming back? Also is there a sealer I can use to give it the wet look?

Pressure washer is the best way to remove it. Get a pint can of polyurethane sealant, like for decopage, and see how you like that look, clear coat spray paint too I guess.

I imagine it doesn't matter where the moss is as long as it works

Re: cleaning mossy driveways: We have had numerous responses to the concrete cleaning proposal that uses Tide and bleach diluted in water. We here at Clever cannot guarantee that it will work because the recipe was sent it by a reader (See the Reader Response below). However, we do have experience with moss removal and high pressure washers.

Was it moss, algae or lichens? Most moss rock is really lichen growth. Anyway, here's a product that might work for you. It's not for "moss" but may do the same thing:
