My garden is very small and a huge fox hole has been dug out - using a concrete patio floor as the roof. I have tried using an ultrasonic movement detector to drive it/them away + some animal repellents like pepper spray on soil - but to no avail. I would be grateful for any advice.

Througout the day, the white flower will turn a fuschia color. By the end of the day, it's all fuschia colored. Flower seems to last only for that day then eventually falls off the tree. Does anyone know the name of the tree? Of the flower?

We are in a new home and the previous residents planted bulbs. I am curious what is popping up now. I can't figure out what they could be.

They look sort of like tulip leaves only shorter and are dark green.

Do you have a list of bulbs that would be showing their leaves in the early fall?

I'd really like to look into having someone landscape our yard in the winter because I will have more time off and can be home to keep the dogs away from the workers. I live in alb, NM and it can get pretty cold, thus the ground can be pretty hard. Is this realistic or should we wait til spring?

It was fine in the summer it was sitting in a pot outside and bloomed like crazy. I just brought it in about a month ago and all the blooms fell off and now there aren't any more blooms at all. I have never seen it do this before. What winter care do I give it now it is inside? Thanks!

We have had an allotment for about 6 weeks and after killing all the weeds with Roundup i have dug it over. Almost as fast as i am digging millions of tiny new weeds are growing. I have planted some Japanese onion sets and winter broccoli but these too are being drowned out by the weeds. I can't keep up with the hoeing. Any suggestions about how to keep them under control would be greately appreciated?

I don't know much about gardening, so this might be a stupid question. Is it possible to grow tulips in a pot in an apartment, say in southern California? If so, are there any special things one should do to take care of them and ensure they keep blooming every year? Also, are there any well-known places from which I could order good tulip bulbs online?

Thanks in advance for your help.

We recently had two trees cut down in the backyard: one cherry, one locust. Can I use this wood in our fireplace this year or do I need to wait for the wood to dry out? What would happen if I used the wood this year?

What can I do to get rid of them? I realize that I tore the vines down too late & the seed pods broke & "re-planted" seeds everywhere. Each summer as the plants started to emerge I'd pluck them as fast as I could, but there was just too many! I don't want this problem next year. They grew over my lilac bush, my tomato plants , other flowers.....

In my back yard I have a wooded area that I'd like to keep weeds & thorn bushes from growing in.
I have been raking the leaves from my property, and dumping them in the back to prevent the brush from growing.
Are there any draw backs to dumping leaves like this?
