I brought a small (4") pine tree back from the woods. I have a small terrace and plan to grow it in a large pot for several years untill I buy a house. What should I plant it in / how should I care for it? Should I bring it in for the winter or is it ok to leave it outside?

thanks

Something considered disposable would be fine. I just want some to use for a joke for a day.

I live in upstate NY which is growing zone 5. One of my neighbors has a hibiscus with large 6 inch maroon flowers. The place where she bought it went out of business and I would like to know where I can get one. Thank you.

Hopefully someone can tell me how to do this without poisons and chemicals as I would prefer all natural if possible. I have those icky spiders in my okra plants and around and I'm sure in my house.

I live in Central Florida and I have a weed growing in my yard that sprouts stems that have sticker balls on the top of them. I've pulled them for hours at a time and I can't seem to keep up with them.

What are they, and what's the best way to get rid of them?

I have 2 "Cara Mia" rose bushes. I planted them in the early spring. One grew quite tall the other stayed short and didn't bloom much(even thought they are side by side). I live in Southern Ontario and the winters can be quite mild. What do I need to do to get my roses ready for winter? How do I prune them? do they need pruning? I bought them at Wal-Mart for $10, so they are nothing special. Thanks for any help!

I don't have a bagger on my lawn mower and the clippings go out into the street. I know that it doesn't look very good and eventually when I buy a new mower, I will bag it and will not have this problem any more. However, I received an anonymous letter in the mail yesterday. It was a cutout of a recent article in our local newspaper in a section where people write in and have an "expert" answer your question. The person was complaining how people shouldn't let their grass clippings blow into the yard.
I was extremely mad when I opened this letter. First it was anonymous (If you have something to tell me, tell me to my face). Second, we just had a new baby and so I spend my time with him. Third, We have lived here a year, and all but one of my neighbors has mad an effort to introduce themselves.

I have thought about going door to door and asking who sent me this and try to explain myself (new baby, time, etc..) Any suggestions on how I should handle this?????

These trees are beautiful in the spring, but late summer they are such a mess. The apples are never ending and such a mess. I love the privacy they provide and just want them to stop producing the apples. any help?
