i live in ky and chose to grow lemon boy tomatos this year, they did ok but not now , late in the season when they ripen they have brown spots on the skin, it almost covers the entire fruit, are they ok to eat, and whats the problem?they taste ok

SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY HAVE A PROBLEM with insects. some insects will sting the tomato leaving brown spots. try seven dust to kill any pest that may be on them. also our weather has alot to do with it........my tomatos grew like crazy and never made even one tomato

with out seeing the spots could be a few things the tomatoes did not get enough water, and nutrients if the brown spots are hard, or it could be fungal

I WOULDN'T' EAT THE TOMATOES. WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH OURS LAST YEAR. AND THIS SPRING PUT LIME ON THE GARDEN. NO PROBLEMS THIS YEAR.
