I have a WhirlPool wich capacity is 8Kg. I want to know if it means 8 Kg of dry clothes or wet.

Well I didn't care about that for my clothes before, but now I think about washing my blankets one after another, each blanket weighs 4 Kg (dry); when wet I guess it can reach maybe 10 Kg because, really thick. Can I wash a blanket like that in my 8 Kg W.M ?

I live out in the country and have a water well. A few months ago I started having problems with water pressure in my house. Now I have dirt coming out of the faucets in the house. What could be causing this and more importantly, how can I fix it? This just started yesterday. I have never delt with fixing water well problems before so I am totally dumb about them. I do know that the water well is about 15 years old. I will use any help I can get.

I have a gas boiler, which was found to be not sealed from the lug nuts at the top on the inside of the boiler. There was a layer of dust inside the boiler on the top covering. I have a strong smell of unburnt fumes coming into my living area. Can someone possibly suggest what if anything is going on with the boiler? I have done a test with a candle as I know that CO2 will not support combustion, but the candle stays lit. Any suggestions as to what my next step should be?

Why are leaf blowers so popular? Why don't people just use the leaf vacuums that are available to suck up leaves/debris. That just seems like it's be a much easier way to clean up, and you are removing the debris, not just blowing it around so they wind can blow it back!

Some builders (most) use the inside dimensions of the room (24x24) but some builders want to use outside dimensions of the building which adds up considerably. Which is appropriate.

I have purchased a door entry system which has a magnetic lock release which replaces the bit on the door frame which the lock goes into. However, it doesnt look as thoughb this will fit on a double glazed door frame. I know you can do it on a double glazed door frame but im not sure what i need to go into the door frame? any answers would be really appreciated. Also any weblinks direct to the product or company names that sell them would be great, thanks!

i'm adding on a couple of bedrooms, and just framed out the window in one. i know the window size needs to be 8% of the livable sq footage of a bedroom, but what do you consider the window. what i mean is, does the actual window frame count as part of the window, or do you measure from corner to corner of the actual glass of the window? this detail matters in my situation.

We have sliding glass doors that give us access to the backyard. It opens on the right side, but we want it to open on the left side.

I was wondering if I can swap things around so that it will open on the left side. There seems to be the same hardware/set up on the left side.

But some online handyman sites say its next to impossible to swap them. Is that true with all sliding door brands? We have a Blomberg Window Systems sliding door from the 80's.

Thanks much!

I have had my patio extended using 1/2 existing slabs (been down 10 years) but the new ones couldn't be quite matched and look slightly darker especially wet. The landscaper instead of laying them out in a pattern to hide the difference laid all the light ones first then all the dark ones so i have a lopsided patio to look at every day. will they weather and become lighter or can I alter them by treating them with an acid or something or have I got to save up to replace the other half?
