so it's a wood burning stove? that in and of itself cannot be vent-less. sorry. smoke needs to go out of the house!
if you were to convert the unit to gas, you can get vent-less gas log sets to go inside the unit. BUT you will have to check with a provider and vendor to see if you can use an old wood stove to do that.
If you really want vent-less, toss it and get a vent-less woodstove, one that is meant for what you are trying to do.
Do you live in CA? then you cannot have vent-less.
Do you live above 5000 feet? than you cannot have vent-less.
OR just vent that baby with a chimney and use wood! nothing like a hot fire to warm your bones :)
good luck!

If it is open faced and large enough you might find an un-vented gas log to put in it. It would probably be an efficient heat source. The only drawback is installation. You will need to have a cut out valve installed and it will cost more to install the gas log than buy it. Check into installation cost before you spend a bunch of money on a log.

I suppose you could install ventless gas logs inside it and use it like that. Call the LP provider.

Sure. But it won't be UL listed and approved so your insurance will no longer cover your house against fire and such. CO poisoning is not a painful way to die. Good luck.
