Okay. So we just moved in with my Grandma two weeks ago. She REALLY let this place go. We have guests tomorrow and we have to get this house clean. I'm on my own until three so it's going to be hard. Right now I have two feet of counter clean, but it has nasty circles from things sitting there for a year. How do I clean that up. Right now I'm using boxes labeled Trash, Laundry, Wrong Room, Toss. Toss is we ain't keeping in house and we will put in a storage building outside. I think I'm doing good considering. I'm on a break. I've been going for an hour. So what are some tips. I'm doing kitchen since Grandma has to get the turkey started when she gets home and then living room, my room (doesn't need but laundry, a little trash pick up and cleaning my mouse colony and vaccuuming.), laundry room, bathroom, bathroom, my brother's room, mom's room and I'm not even going to ATTEMPT Grandma's room. My brother is off to college, but his room is ugh. Mom is not home today. Yay me. NOT!Advice??

I recently bought two very large posters from the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and would love to hang them up. I am concerned about tape ruining the back and do not want to use thumbtacks because I don't want the posters to have holes in them. I bought some Command poster strips, which are supposed to be removable from both the wall and poster without any residue. Does anyone know if these actually work when it comes to removing them from the poster? I do not want to use these to hang them only to damage them when I need to take them down.

Im getting a deep ceramic sink (caple carlo to be exact!) and you can get sink baskets to go with them that fit into the bowl. I just wondered what the function of these are? Cant see the point!

I have to rip out wood paneling in my basement and insall drywall. I aslo need to change the carpet. Will it be a problem that install my drywall with new carpet in place? Will it be that messy of a job, or just something a vaccum can clean?

I am trying to save money, so I turn my water heater, located in my garage to vacation when I am not needing it, especially at night. Why do I have hot water when I run the faucet in the morning ?

I want to get my friend a massive glass jar with only a small, single lollypop in it for christmas. It's an inside joke but is quite important to her. Can anyone help me find said jar?

My dad and I are building a prize wheel, and we have everything to build it. The only problem: what can we use as a pointer/needle? I am trying to have it a spring-loaded needle, but any material will do. Ideas? I am afraid to use rubber because of the friction. WILL a rubber pointer work?

I woke up this morning with no hot water. My water heater is only 2 yrs old and worked fine last night. Lately my bathtub faucet has been leaky, maybe for 2 or 3 weeks and it's been only hot water that leaking out, but not much. Could this have shorted out the heater? I did notice that the water pressure in my kitchen was a little low, but just by a little kinda like there was water running elsewhere in the house even if it wasn't.

I'd like to change the color of an existing bathtub. We're remodeling the bathroom and am wondering if the re-glazed tub will look like new when done. Also, how do they hold up over time as compared to buying a new one with the color built in ?

Not only in the box, but now I see them near my microwave. I clean often and even the cabinets where dry items are stored.
When they are on the counter, they are moving slow and then die within a day.
What the heck are they?
They are little and brown.

We have two big dogs that didn't even see it. I'm afraid to put down mouse traps or poison in case the dogs get ahold of it. Our house has a crawl space. I'm sure it got in from there. What's the best way to get rid of them?
