Im getting a deep ceramic sink (caple carlo to be exact!) and you can get sink baskets to go with them that fit into the bowl. I just wondered what the function of these are? Cant see the point!

i am buying a deep ceramic 1 1/2 sink (a caple carlo) and noticed i can buy sink baskets to go into the bowls. They are the full size of the bowl and you can lift them in and out.I am not talking about the sink drainer baskets that act as a waste for the food. These baskets are completely different.i have no idea what they are for!!

This basket collects any debris that could go down your drain and block it. It catches knives, forks, rings, etc. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

The baskets serve a dual purpose. They are used to make a seal to hold water in the sink and they also catch debris. You can leave the basket in without it stopping the water so you will not clog up the plumbing with food pieces. I like the Spin and Grin brand. They are heavy duty and you won't be replacing it in a couple years.
