Can I plant the seeds that grow on the trumpet vine this time of the year and have new plants come up next year from them?

This has already been patched on the inside, but now there is condensation on the wall sometimes (not often, but still), and the floor below the crack is starting to crack as well. One solution I got is to build drains on the outside of the house to carry away water.
The only way to solve it is to fix the exterior of the cement wall, which lies under my porch!! (Which happens to be under my new roof!) Is there a way to get to it by going under the porch?? The crack is straight down in one place.

Someone recently bought me a beautiful, very expensive comforter (costs like $200). I love it to pieces, but its dry clean only unfortunately. :( I didn't realise it was dry clean only until just the other day and I had already run it through the wash once along with its pillow shams.
I almost never put things in the dryer, so I let it air dry in my laundry room.

I contacted my local dry cleaner and it costs $20 to dry clean a comforter and I don't have the money to do that 2 times a month. I like to wash my comforter, pillow shams, and sheets every two weeks.
I bought a "dryel" kit, but its too small for my comforter but the pillow shams fit in it.
How bad is it if I run my comforter through the wash and let it hang dry? Are there any alternatives to bringing it to the cleaners?

I am re-decorating a guest room in the shabby-chic, cottage look. Kind of in-between, really.

I bought a round plaque (wall decor) that looks like carved wood, but it is acutally made of resin. The outside rim has a soft fluted design, kind of like the edge of a piecrust. In the center of the plaque is a raised desgin of roses, flowers, and leaves.

The plaque is pure-white, but it has some dark, grayish highlights here and there to give it that distressed, "shabby" look.

I plan to use the plaque above my daybed, which has a curved back, higher in the center. On either side ot the round plaque, I want to place some plates or platters.

The problem? The plaque is pure white, and I want to use creamy ivory in the room. Ivory is the color used in the bedding, and I plan to re-do some furniture pieces in ivory as well.

What products do I use on the resin piece, and what color for the distressed accent look?

Thanks. I know the look I want, but I'm lost.

We have found in this last week small round holes in our cotton underwear and one pair of socks. This is underwear that is worn and washed every week but is relatively new. We have found no other holes in any other clothes at this time. Not sure what might be causing it. Moths, poor quality material, too much washing detergent or something in the washing drum causing damage to the clothes?

As they start to turn from green to red, the tops start splitting from the stem down, usually 3 or 4 splits on the tops of each one. What am I doing wrong? What can I do to keep this from happening next year?

OK, unusual situation here. I live alone, am 1/2 sick and have a very small income, I spend a lot of time on the puter, I have only a gas wall furnace so I am thinking about moving my TV and puter into my bedroom even maybe going to a twin bed for more space and just heating that room . hard to believe , but picture me living on a mountaintop all alone with no visitors for that is what it is like and I can use a small efficient space heater. I don't mind this at all and why should I pay to heat an entire house when I only use one room at a time. I have a very open frontroom dining room and kitchen with no way to shut them into smaller spaces and the cheapest way would be to move. You have to use your imagination unless you live alone and can picture this. I have no visitors and no guests !! I essentially live on a mountain top on a very low income ??? cheap house payment so it is the cheapest to stay here. Hope I have included all necessary info. I already wear hats, thermal clothing

Some people like to include their work experience, titles or degrees as part of their answers. Some people even list this information as the source of their answer. Is this useful information that helps an asker to identify the best answer or just a vain attempt to influence the asker? What does the Garden & Landscape community think of this practice? Should this be practice be continued?
